Roaming

  • I’ve been a happy Blue-M subscriber since this week.

Now I’m traveling to France next week and wanted to see if everything is OK with roaming.

Roaming is activated in Kundencenter or in the cockpit, but - despite a blueM subscription - a cost limit still needs to be entered, otherwise nothing will work abroad. Entering the limit is mandatory.

What irritated me: The hotline said that I didn’t have to enter anything - but since this request came up in the cockpit, I asked in the chat: There I was confirmed that a cost limit ALWAYS has to be entered - even for subscriptions.

I have now entered these limits and hope that everything is correct… it’s all a bit confusing

Yes, you can leave everything at 0.-, it should work in the EU/UK. As I said, there are no costs for you anyway, with a few exceptions. It was only a security for trips outside the EU to set at least 20.00 as a limit.

@“x”#888235The limit is necessary if you are traveling to a country that is not included (e.g. towards Africa or Asia)

However, in France everything is included with your subscription

    Nice holidays!

It is also important that data roaming is switched on on your mobile phone. With this subscription, roaming in the EU/UK should work in any case, even with a limit of 0.-

However, I would generally not recommend leaving the limit at 0.-. If you go to a country outside the EU and forget it, you won’t be able to make phone calls or receive any calls. Accordingly, I would set the limit at least at 20.00. But you don’t have to worry about your subscription, there are no costs in France anyway. You can surf and make calls as if you were in Switzerland at no extra cost, unless you are calling countries outside the EU/UK.

    Thank you very much

I’m still confused: I have a NEW blue M subscription.

If I had left the roaming limits at CHF 0, would I not have been able to make calls and access data in D, F, I, etc.? (As soon as I’m outside Europe I’ll have to check anyway).

My question to Swisscom was therefore:

Do I have to increase these limits in my cockpit/customer portal so that I can make calls/surf the internet in Europe despite having a blue-M subscription.

As soon as I get into the cockpit, this is required and required. According to the hotline I could have left this at 0 Fr., according to the subsequent chat not. What’s going on now?

Leave it at 0 Fr. or adjust it, even though you hardly ever need it except when traveling to Asia and Africa?

I have now simply increased the limit so as not to have any trouble in “Provence” in France.
