Problem calling from my mobile phone to my landline

  • Hello. I suddenly have a problem. The neighbor tried to call my landline today. The doorbell rang once, then there was nothing, no connection. Today I tried several times from my mobile phone to my landline

    to tel. Now the following happens: It doesn’t ring on the landline or only rings briefly, but the mobile phone connects because I see that it starts counting the seconds. The landline. I didn’t answer it because the bell didn’t ring there. Since I have a prepaid cell phone, the charge for the alleged telephone conversation came later via SMS. Swisscom couldn’t help me. She called the landline and it worked. Have any of you had something like this before? I think it must be on the landline.🤷‍

    • @Esthi I suspect that you have a problem with the internet connection or telephone.

      It is probably set up this way, if the landline is not available, there is a call forwarding to your mobile phone.

      Which of course comes with costs.

      Have support check your Anschluss.

      It could also be that your phone’s battery is defective.

    I have set my landline connection so that it always rings on my landline and the mobile phone at the same time. The phone is redirected to Combox if it is “busy” or “no answer”. Recently I had to change the batteries on one of the 2 landline phones. You could be right in your assumption. What’s strange is that Swisscom was able to make calls to my landline, but there wasn’t a problem.

    I would currently advise you to switch off simultaneous Ringing Fix/Mobile. Is the neighbor also a Swisscom customer? If he calls from a landline or, for example, from Skype or something similar - it could be a current routing problem in the network. This may be why the call filterer blocks the call with a “fictitious” CLIP, but still passes half of the call through to your prepaid mobile phone. But the doorbell doesn’t ring for you, only the appraisal takes place?

    The neighbor called from his cell phone, I don’t know what kind of provider he has. But when the neighbor tel. It didn’t ring at all on the landline and once very briefly on my cell phone. I’m going to turn off the simultaneous ringing thing, although it has never caused a problem so far.

    @Esthi

    I’m also assuming that either you have a general problem with your Anschluss or your phone itself has a fault. Can you reach other numbers with your landline phone? Otherwise call support and they should check your Anschluss.
