Bluewin: new subscriptions and new Webmail

Dear friends and dear friends of the Community!

We have updated the Bluewin E-Mail subscriptions and modernized the [Bluewin Webmail](https://webmail .bluewin.ch/).

New: 3 E-Mail subscriptions instead of 4

**

The basic subscription is now at pagamento. On the other hand, it offers more memory space, ad-free webmail with a new look and the new Exchange function to easily synchronize emails, calendars, contacts and activities on your smartphone. Discover subscriptions

For existing email customers

Over the next few months all existing customers will automatically switch to new subscriptions. After the switch, all customers who had the basic or pro subscription will receive the new Bluewin E-Mail basic for 3 months free. This way they can conveniently try out new functions, such as Exchange, and Webmail without advertising. Anyone who has a Bluewin E-Mail basic subscription and at the time of switching only uses 1 email address and less than 90% of 1 GB of memory will automatically switch to the free Bluewin E-Mail light subscription after the first 3 months.

With the switch it is also possible to access the new Webmail.

For new Bluewin E-Mail customers the modernized Webmail and new E-Mail subscriptions are available immediately. Previous email subscriptions are no longer available.

Subscription flexibly changeable

You can change your Bluewin E-mail subscription to My Swisscom at any time. For example, if you switch to Bluewin E-Mail basic or advanced you have more memory space available, easily synchronize your account with your mobile phone and benefit from advertising-free Webmail. To switch to the free Bluewin E-Mail light subscription, you must first indicate the email address you want to maintain (main email account) in My Swisscom. Before switching, you must free up memory space or [save](https://www.swisscom.ch /it/private-clients/help/e-mail/export-dati.html) the emails.

All customers who had the basic or pro E-Mail subscription will be informed via email. All the information can also be found here: [www.swisscom.ch/bluewin-novita](https://www.swisscom.ch/it/private-clients/help/e-mail/novita.html?campID=SC_neues- webmail)

One aspect is not clear to me, so if I have an internet subscription and so far I have 5 email addresses available, in the future I will have to pay for the other 4 or 2.9 per address or 11.6 per month in addition to the 54.90 that are paid now for the internet subscription? I hope I’m wrong because if that were the case it doesn’t seem correct at all to me and I would really consider a change of operator.

Good question. The Bluewin E-Mail basic already includes 5 addresses at the price of 2.90/month. At least there won’t be any more advertising.

To avoid paying the subscription, if you want to keep all email addresses, each user will have to open an account for each Bluewin E-Mail light address.

Users, as in my case, who have Bluewin Email baisc with three email addresses; Will they automatically switch to the CHF 2.90/month subscription or will the customer need to activate it?

From what I see in the official press release, there is talk of only one account and under 90% capacity used. With multiple accounts I would expect to stay on the Basic plan. The first 3 months are free.

If you don’t plan on paying for the Basic plan in the future, I would recommend migrating the additional accounts under separate accounts.

A contact with Customer Service should definitely clarify these points.

Good morning,

I changed the PW to my Bluewin E-Mail Pro and suddenly I have the Bluewin E-Mail basic subscription without any warning!!!

Having 3 e-mail addresses, I used to see them together while now I only see 1 at a time, and to see the others I always have to click on the icon on the right and I no longer have an overall view!

this considerably complicates the work:-((!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do we change programs when they were fine before?

Is there a solution to this problem?

Thanks, regards

Rico

I also have the same problem it has become more inconvenient to see all the emails. Luckily I look at them in Outlook or on my phone. What annoys me is that they say they charge for emails because they have improved the program: absolutely not, in fact they have made it worse. In my opinion, they shouldn’t charge for emails, it’s a lack of respect for customers because there are a thousand other ways to get emails for free.

@ri5 @Pippo1

- I changed the PW on my Bluewin E-Mail Pro and suddenly I have the Bluewin E-Mail basic subscription without any warning!!!…

after the change announced above on 04.24.2024, the Bluewin E-Mail Pro subscription no longer exists

What’s more, each customer was personally notified of the change to their subscription

- Having 3 E-Mail addresses, I used to see them together while now I only see 1 at a time, and to see the others I always have to click on the icon on the right and I no longer have an overall view!

this complicates the job considerably:-((!!!!!!!!!!!!i

YES it’s true

- Is there a solution to this problem?…

the best is to manage bluewin accounts with an external messaging program, such as - Thunderbird - Outlook - Mail - etc, considering Webmail as a server

@Pippo1

- What annoys me is that they say they charge for emails because they have improved the program: absolutely not, in fact it has gotten worse

the old version of Webmail had become insecure over time, it needed to be changed

the functions of the new Webmail are faster and more numerous, all it takes is curiosity and time

Please note that this transfer deleted ALL my secondary address contacts and all my folders.

I copied the contacts from the main email to the secondary addresses and I redid the distribution lists.

It was a lot of fun.

As for the folders, I found them.

It’s a shame that there isn’t a tutorial that explains the changes made, and that you can’t find the contacts and folders as you left them.

Is it possible to keep bluewin email basic from 2.90.- per month and change operator for internet and TV?
Since we now pay for the subscription for the email addresses, I would like to be free for the other subscriptions.

@Gaeilgeoir, I looked for written confirmation but unfortunately I can’t find it anywhere.

I wouldn’t want to change internet operator and find myself without @bluewin email addresses and without all the emails that would be deleted.

@Zeitzibal77 I didn’t even look, I must correct myself, as shown in the image, Bluewin E-mail Basic is only available with an Internet or mobile subscription. Sorry, if you want to keep Bluewin Mail, the only option is Bluewin Mail free or advanced (9 CHF).
