Problem with Disney+ on blue TV

  • Disney+ doesn’t work for me on the Swisscom Box (IP2000). I was able to log in with my account and the app also works, but as soon as I want to start a film nothing happens. However, it works without any problems on the SmartTV and the tablet. Probably a banana that still needs to ripen.

      Hello @joerg

As a short-term workaround, you can deactivate the HDR function on the IP2000, then the playback should at least start and you can watch the D+ content, which is available in Dolby Vision.
Currently not in the best video quality until a fix comes from Disney.

Or if you already have a Premium D+ subscription and want the best Dolby Atmos sound, you have to switch to the TV Box 5, as Dolby Atmos only runs with the TV Box 5.

Yes, I already did that, it doesn’t help. The app works. I suspect there is an incompatibility in the resolution because certain trailers are played but the film itself is not. Well, fortunately the SmartTV app works well on the LG television and I suspect it is also more up to date.

There is currently a problem with the IP1800/IP2000 that means Dolby Vision content is not played on Disney+. The issue was reported to Disney this morning. Duration of the disruption is still unknown.

Thank you. Yes, if I switch off HDR on the box then playback on Disney+ works.
I still have the old premium subscription with UHD. Well, if I really want to watch HDR, I can always watch it directly on the LG TV.
It’s just more practical on the box. I probably won’t extend the subscription anyway and after that I probably won’t take the expensive premium and I’ll only take a subscription for a few months if something new about Star Wars comes out.
