I would say that with the latest updates the box now lives up to what we can expect. The stability is there and as far as I am concerned I no longer have any audio dropout problems. 4K mode is now available in the MyCanal app. Without necessarily recommending it, I would say that you can take the step. I remain of the opinion that the image is sharper on the Apple TV; but the space saving and ergonomics of the TV Box 5 mean that I use it permanently.
It’s true that there have been a lot of improvements to this box since it was released. It seems perfectly fine to me now. I have 3 different boxes at home at the moment but this is the 5 that I prefer.
Just one thing: when you watch Blue Tv with the app and not with the box, the channels that have several languages keep the language selected while the box does not.
An example: I watch Arte a lot. And always in French. I often watch Arte DE. I select the French language, every time I turn off the box, I have to select French again. On the blue Tv app, I selected French for Arte DE and I can leave the app, come back to it as I want, it is always French that is automatically selected. Why doesn’t the box keep our preferred language? I’ve asked this several times already.

Since I bought the new TV Box 5, I still encounter the same problem, even after the October 2024 update, namely:
My TV screen turns off for 2 to 3 seconds, then the image comes back, this 2 to 3 times a day. The screen turns off, no matter what I watch (replay, recordings, Google Store applications, etc..), the show continues while the screen remains black for a few seconds!?
Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

@Veinteschi84 Is this the HDMI cable that came with the box? If not, please use the one provided, which should always be the case. You could say that it’s not serious, but on a BOx TV, I had actually taken another HDMI cable, there were cuts, then the cable provided, everything is fine, the other cable has since been connected to the Apple TV Box without problem.

I use the HDMI cable provided with the purchase of the TV Box 5. This is connected to the Internet Box by the 10 meter LAN cable.
No other connection, except a soundbar connected to the TV via HDMI.
The black screen is less frequent since the latest Blue Entertainment 7.0 update.

@Mad64 Have you ever reset the case, i.e. you punched the small hole in the back or bottom of the case with a paper clip, there is a small switch that reset the box?

@Mad64 Yes, this is unfortunately the case with app downloads, which is why I generally don’t advise resetting unless nothing else can be done. Resetting with the paper clip is a more complete reset than with the box. But if the latter is of no use, the one with the paper clip probably is of no use either. But you can of course try, you can also reset the router if you haven’t done so yet. If the TV is using the latest software version, this is also sometimes a problem.
