What are the connections at the back of this box? Is it capable of reading the ripped formats of my Bluray 4k HDR (around 80mbits/sec)? I wanted to buy an Nvidia Shield PRO or a Zidoo Z20 pro but if this model can play hdr10, hdr10+, dolby vision, dts:x and dolby Atmos formats, it would save me resources.

We will do a reset and see if it works (it seems to me so in another home) especially if she has activated Simply Digital she will not be able to ask to just activate the replacement of the Box. However, a Box is not linked to an order (in absolute terms someone could order 4 Boxes which they would give to friends to replace an old one 😉)
The TV Box 5 will be in the store on Tuesday so……
My 2020 high-end TV also refuses my high-end mobile to broadcast photos or music via Bluetooth (I connect it via HDMI)
ChromeCast should allow me to broadcast this directly without sending to the Cloud.
In short, it criticizes Swisscom a lot in many places, ok it’s no longer PTT Telecom neither for employees nor for customer service but I am proud to have a complete offer at Swisscom (of what my home can deliver to me in power)

- Will the new box use the Blue TV application found on the Google Play Store?
- If yes, will other boxes such as the Shield TV be able to benefit from all the functions?
- If not, what about boxes such as Shield TV? Will the application once be able to be at box level? Or can we install the same configuration as the new box?

All Swisscom TV boxes for a few generations have been with Android Open source project (AOSP), the first ones were with, from memory, Windows embedded (Windows embedded for the large box versions the size of a large atlas/encyclopedia for those who have them known (I am one of them)
There is no museum of the evolution of Swisscom TV boxes?

For older boxes, as is the case for the TV 21 box, the system is based on Android Open Source. On the other hand, for the new TV box 5, the system has switched to official Android TV for Operator Tier (AOT).
This allows access to all applications in the Google Play Store, in addition to finally having access to all applications.
However, this requires creating a Google account to access the Play Store. Plus, Chromecast is built-in, which is a big advantage.
