@Faummoplie89 Can you please put a photo in if you clicked on the menu item “Video and Audio” in the settings? So where the menu item Image Quality should be.

For information, please note the TV box version

With such a slow internet connection, you would probably have to set it to SD anyway if you connected the TV box via WiFi.

In your case I would consider a wired solution, this is somehow feasible in most cases.

    Hello @Faummoplie89

As @WalterB wrote, I would connect a flying cable. And see if it works.

What do you mean by 7 to 2?
7Mbit download? Of course that is already at the limit. An HD stream quickly needs 8 Mbit. I don’t know whether the system will say no. Possibly Swisscom made some changes to the firmware.

    What does the Checker output?

@Faummoplie89 What picture quality is displayed on the TV channels when you select the picture quality option? Depending on the transmitter, 1-2 variants should be included.

As it looks here, only SD is possible and therefore the menu item has disappeared in the settings.

This item no longer exists in my menu.

And I can’t select it under options because it’s gray instead of black.

I had set it up via the menu, but there hasn’t been anything there for a while now.

I just reset the box and re-set it up with the cable.

    Unfortunately this makes no difference.

Strangely enough, I never had and still have problems with the apps.

I can watch Netflix and YouTube really well.

I don’t have any interruptions when watching TV either.

I think I’ll have to try support again.

I once asked a gentleman what he did when it worked.

I then wrote down the date that he had set the signal-to-noise ratio.

Unfortunately, the next employee had no idea what that was.

    I’m giving up for today.

Thank you very much for all the advice and help

    have a nice Sunday

    Best regards

@Faummoplie89 the SC employee has to set the SNR (Noise Margin) to (-) 6dB.

    But it’s just symptom relief.

The support staff (2nd level) can see the errors on your Anschluss.

The system stabilizes the line if there are too many errors on your telephone/DSL Anschluss.

The maxim is to keep the connection line stable, the SNR is regulated up to (-) 24dB.

This affects your router access speed and therefore also your TV stream bandwidth.

From 8 Mbit/s only SD is possible

SD or HD is possible from 12 Mbit/s

SD or HD or UHD is possible from 40 Mbit/s.

Simile: Your water pipe in the garden keeps having interruptions in the water flow. In order to reduce these interruptions, I reduce the water pressure so that there is an even water flow.

So I would order a technician to check your connection cable.

If the error is in your in-house telephone installation, it costs CHF 160 per hour and a travel fee of CHF 80.

Otherwise, if the error is on the Swisscom side (from UP/GS-> Central/PUS/MCAN) it costs nothing.
