Put together additional packages individually

Channels are once again being offered in new additional packages. The new additional package blue Premium is even available completely in the new TV subscription XL. I haven’t quite figured out yet what the difference is between TV subscription L plus blue Premium and TV subscription XL. Except that the bottom line is that XL is cheaper than L plus blue premium. But whatever.

I belong to the older generation of TV viewers. The public broadcasters from Switzerland, Germany and Austria are actually enough for me. But I would also like to have as many sports channels as possible. That’s why I’m happy about the Top German+ package because of Eurosport 2. And this package was still included for free at the time.

I also have blue Sport (although the correct term for me would be blue football) and Sky Sport.

It would be interesting to have a very affordable basic offer and additional packages that can be put together individually. E.g. packages with 5 channels of your choice at a price of CHF 5.00/month. Or packages of 10 for CHF 10.00/month.

Or is something like this not lucrative enough for Swisscom?

In any case, the additional packages would not have to be renamed again and again and channels removed from packages and added to new packages.

I’m looking forward to your opinions.

If you were to conduct a survey, there would probably be just as many variant requests as the people you asked. A high degree of customization would be customer-friendly, but it would certainly be more complex and more expensive to administer, and all other customers would ultimately have to pay for it.

@Bodosi97 The discussion is not new and I would find your suggestion better than the current situation, but who knows what is being agreed with the rights users in the background. Personally, I know countless users who would like to book certain channels, but since they are only interested in 2 or 3 channels and the packages are too expensive for them, since 80-90% are uninteresting, they leave it alone, this applies to all providers in CH, AT and D.

I think it makes sense:

A single pay-TV program for 5 or 10 francs, then the more TV programs, the higher the discount would be up to around 40 francs for all pay-TV programs.

Regarding rights management, with exceptions such as Warner TV Film, Warner TV series, Warner TV Comedy and Cartoon Network, Boomerang only together.

However, it wouldn’t be particularly lucrative for Swisscom, as you can practically count subscribers to TV programs like BonGusto or Marco Polo on one hand.

So I think it’s very unlikely that this will ever happen.
