Make sure to prefix the IP with https: In your case, this should look like this: https://192.168.6.1
Your browser should show you a certificate error. After accepting it, you should see the web-ui.
If you access the IP via http, the server will redirect you to internetbox.swisscom.ch
- the Swisscom name server that resolves "internetbox.swisscom.ch" must be aware of my box's local IP address and redirect to that instead of just assuming the address is still 192.168.1.1
This is done via the internal dns-server on the box. If you are using a custom DNS setup (like PiHole or AdGuard) and don't forward/delegate the requests to the IB, you will have to manually create an A record for the box. Please note, that VPN-Services like Apple private relay also break this.
A ticket to get this issue resolved is under way with second-level support after I got through three customer supporters, the last of which, as opposed to the other two, even spoke German.
I wonder what happens to people who require support but don't speak English...
What a bummer! As someone, who has many English-speaking friends, I can feel your pain.
If all of my points above do not apply to you: the firmware 14.00.50 solved multiple issues with the web-ui. Keep in mind that after updating, it will take some time until port 443 is active again.
