how do you receive the internet,

So you can take out an online subscription, like zatoo or whatever. SC was even on air for free with reels, which was really cool. hmm, now you need an online subscription to watch TV professionally again.

We have fiber optics with TV via another provider anyway, they just don’t have TV via an app.

We actually only use Blue TV because of Blue Sport. The 10.– for blue TV Air were mostly for fun, so that you can do replay from time to time via tablet or smartphone. But now I don’t see the point anymore.

This is all completely clear. The question is whether such restrictions can still be used to keep people who are already leaving on TV. Personally, the main problem for me is that you can no longer scroll through irrelevant content (and that explicitly doesn’t mean advertising).

Example: If you want to watch the show in replay after “Wetten, dass”, then you first have to endure 30 minutes of Gottschalk because he didn’t stick to the program and you can’t fast forward to the end. Who would do that? Probably nobody.

Hello everyone

Thank you for your valuable contributions and comments. I’m sorry that there has been some uncertainty regarding our prices and subscriptions.

You have already commented diligently here. In the example of @cadmium, a switch from Vivo XS (20) to our Blue subscriptions is necessary. The new “Comfort Replay” option is not compatible with the older Vivo XS. Switching to our blue subscriptions is highly recommended because it also comes with many other advantages.

As you have already commented, the successor product would be:

  • Blue Internet S – CHF 54.90 (including Simply Digital Online deduction of CHF 10.-)
  • Blue TV M – CHF 24.90
  • Comfort Replay - CHF 6.90

@cadmium As I can see from the comments, you have already been in contact with our customer service and your question seems to have been answered. Could a post here in the community help you? If so, please mark the post as a solution so that others who are looking for the same topic know whether this was the solution. 👍

@hed I also read your comment. I will be happy to inform the responsible department about your input regarding the presentation of our prices and subscriptions on the web.

I would like to thank everyone for the lively discussion and wish you a good start to the week.

Hello @DorotheaT

As I understood @cadmium, he couldn’t fast forward on SRF. I don’t assume that you have to book Comfort Replay in order to be able to fast forward on SRF.

It looks to me like Swisscom is starting to block fast-forwarding on older subscriptions so that customers can switch to newer, more expensive subscriptions.

@Stephan_76 I refer again to my [Post 8](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Nutzung-mit-TV-Box/Bittere-%C3%9Cberraschung-kein-Vor-und- R%C3%BCckwickel-more/m-p/735257#M61938) in this thread.

There is the new Common Tariff 12 (GT12). Various collecting societies are included in this tariff, including Suissimage and SRF, for example. This new tariff regulates the options and tariffs for Replay TV, among others.

With the new tariff, spooling is no longer allowed in 30-hour subscriptions or only those with a live break. This applies to all redistributors (Swisscom, Sunrise, Teleboy, etc.). And again: Broadcasters like SRF are also affected by this.

There is a new subdivision for the 7-day replay tariff:

In principle, the previously known standard tariff still allows spooling. However, interested broadcasters have the option of additionally placing Replay advertising. 19 broadcasters have currently made use of this option. SRF, for example, is currently not making use of this and rewinding is still possible with a 7-day replay subscription as before.

There is also the new top tariff, which does not require any replay advertising. Customers with the Replay Comfort tariff enjoy a precise broadcast start without Replay advertising and they are able to skip an advertising block with one click, also without Replay advertising.

I hope this helps to better understand the complex situation 😕

For OTT customers there is a subscription without replay and a subscription including 30 hours of replay. This means you need another subscription including 7-day replay.

From the customer’s perspective, it would certainly make sense to adapt the 30-hour replay subscriptions without the option to rinse, which have now become relatively unsuitable in practical use and only cause annoyance, to the new framework conditions.

There are probably several ways to do this:

    - Delete 30h Replay subscriptions completely and offer existing customers an upgrade to an existing TV subscription that is still suitable, perhaps slightly sweetened with a promo

    - Adjust the subscription minimally so that it fits into the GT12 again and offer customers the winding option again as an additional option of 2-5 CHF/month

    - Totally simplify the TV subscription structure including OTT offers and reduce it to one-fits-for-all or two-fits-for-all

If you look a little at Swisscom’s competitors, you can see all of these possibilities when dealing with the GT12.

Hasn’t Swisscom marketing in the TV sector simply not adapted enough to the new industry agreement and of course not yet responded adequately to the customers’ ongoing service needs?

Thank you for your detailed answer RomanE

So does the attached graphic apply?

If you have a subscription with 30 hours of replay, you can no longer rewind (red arrow).

If you don’t have Replay Comfort, you can spin outside of the advertising (blue arrow).

If you have Replay Comfort, you can fast forward advertising and not get any advertising before the replay? (Green arrow)

    Beautiful setup.

With a little mental arithmetic you can even see at first glance what a “huge” cost saving in the GT12 per customer and month that Swisscom can now achieve if it wants to continue to expect “30h replay new without reels” from customers…

However, being able to rewind in replay or recordings is one of the most central functions.

Previously, there was no replay at all in the cheapest TV subscription - due to lack of use, most TV S subscribers probably didn’t notice that rewinding didn’t work at all in replay.

However, some people get a taste for it (here in the thread) - what’s the point of this shit?

Therefore, the cheapest subscription can still be available without the replay function.

However, there is some catching up to do among OTT customers. I think it’s enough to replace the subscription with 30 hours of replay with the one with 7 days of replay.

No, I didn’t have a power outage. I was still happy for my battery-operated emergency radio - all other devices would have needed an internet connection for music - and the Swisscom/Wingo mobile network also “collaborated” (this “accident” also caused disruptions for other providers). I couldn’t even get to the Swisscom trouble page and the MySwisscom app didn’t work.

So nothing has changed in my installation or in the power network. Therefore, I see no reason why there should suddenly be power fluctuations.

The only change was that I was without internet and therefore TV for a good two days and then the box no longer worked properly (=started independently several times a day). The Swisscom technician’s suggested solution was to replace the TV-Box with a current model (free of charge at least / electronic waste ahoy…)

By the way, Swisscom has not yet apologized in any way for the interruption…

    @RomanE

Thank you for explaining the situation here.

It would have been nice if the Swisscom marketing department had informed you “correctly” in advance. With my old subscription, I assumed that I would no longer be able to skip the advertising on the 19 private channels. I could have lived with that because I don’t see much of it.

If I had known beforehand that I would no longer be able to rewind (because I didn’t understand something acoustically), or that I would no longer be able to rewind on SRF, I would have taken care of a new subscription.

But the fact was that the starting points with the system change in the old subscriptions (Vivo) were so wrong that on SRF you usually had to watch a program beforehand for the Tagesschau and Meteo and you couldn’t fast forward - that was out of the question for me Info not clear beforehand. Surprisingly, after subscribing, the starting points were suddenly almost accurate to the second…. It just leaves a bad aftertaste.

A little less “creativity” when designing the subscription would perhaps be more… But more stability in operation 😉 In the info email, for example, there was a link to upgrade options for the subscription “with an individual offer” - but that didn’t work on the website and I stopped the exercise in frustration…

I don’t know yet… The first report last week was simply set to resolved without a solution to the problem… The problem continued to occur over the weekend, so I called the hotline again and opened a new ticket, but there Of course, no specialists were available.

The proposed solution with the new box only came late this afternoon. I should receive the box on Wednesday or Thursday. So I won’t know until the end of the week at the earliest whether the problem has been resolved.

“The new Comfort Replay option is not compatible with the older Vivo XS.”

It was deliberately made so that you have to switch to blue/home and be bound there again for 24 months, and only after the promo. I canceled everything today. 🙂

    Show original language (German)

@superfly I don’t know this subscription type exactly, but from what I saw (see link), this subscription type Vivo XS only had 30 hours of replay. Within the so-called Common Tariff 12 (GT12) was between the broadcasters and the providers, such as Swisscom. Sunrise and everyone else agreed that for subscriptions with 30 hours of replay, it is not possible to overwind the advertising and thus also Replay Comfort or an analogue offer from other providers. The statement that Swisscom did this consciously is therefore incorrect. By the way, this is also the case with the newer Blue TV S subscriptions.
