They are there, but those with the Sky name for example, I don’t think they can be brought by Swisscom.

There are channels like Blaze or Gambero Rosso that could be taken into consideration, but being pay-TV, it is not so simple (perhaps agreements for TV channels with Italy are more complex than for other countries like Germany or France, where many channels even have Swiss advertising windows, correct me if I’m wrong).

Furthermore, I have the feeling that more and more pay channels will be closed in the future to the detriment of the various streaming services, while the free-to-air channels cost little and make a lot of (advertising) and this is why new ones are also arriving (27 Twentyseven of Mediaset, for example).

However, I would like to point out that a new free-to-air Italian channel from Warner Bros Discovery will be launched soon, dedicated to films and TV series. It will be positioned at number 37 on digital terrestrial (where there is now a temporary channel) and therefore Swisscom will certainly be able to bring it into the offer. The name is not yet known for now.

Let’s hope that by the end of the year, at least the new free Warner Bros Discovery channel will be activated.

As already reported several times, Italian-speaking users are always put aside, compared to Germans and French.

This is a big disappointment, after all we pay the same rates!

YES in fact from 10.30.2022 there is a new channel Warner Bros Discovery in Italy: Warner TV.
The channel will be FTA (also in DVB-T) and will be broadcast in HD quality.
Let’s all hope that the channel will soon be available on Swisscom blue TV too.

I can’t find an appropriate topic…

But I would like to point out to swisscom that all Mediaset channels broadcast in HD… have you noticed or are we waiting six months? It’s time to make the change on your blue TV too, thanks.

From 22 December 2022 they should all be in HD… on other platforms like zattoo they already are… but here obviously we sleep as usual… but you have to pay the bill immediately.

Yes exactly…with your photos you confirm what I was saying…

I repeat, let’s see when they realize it….do they have another excuse to keep them in the SD card? Well who knows!!

They don’t believe there are any reasons in my opinion not to do it… it would have been better for the customer if they had noticed, but maybe now they will understand😉

    Hello everyone

So far, the signal that now arrives from some Mediaset channels only in HD is downsized to SD by Swisscom, which explains why the quality is in SD but the logo shows HD. I can’t say why they’re doing this, but I think HD channels will be officially available with the next announced changes, and it wouldn’t be the first time Swisscom has done this.

Let’s hope!! Even the Turkish Spanish Serbian Romanian channels arrived earlier in HD than the Italian ones… and that’s saying a lot…..

    Show original language (Italian)

@Visma74 Swisscom can only activate what is freely available and the new HD channels were only made available recently.. It was the same for channels in other languages, most of the Turkish and Spanish channels are were switched on first in SD and then in HD only when HD became available, and not immediately, of the four Romanian channels only one is in HD, a little patience, then the HD versions of the Mediaset channels will also arrive.

Yes, they have actually been active since December 22nd…. but I don’t think it would take a month to make a change… given that what is certain is that swisscom has been receiving the signal in HD since December 22nd… see broadcast logos…. but maybe on December 22nd we were already on holiday…. I await news soon…

@Visma74 Swisscom always switches channels on “changeover days”, as do UPC and others, it’s just like that. You need to make changes, which are done collectively on a single date. This is nothing new and it’s not the end of the world.
