myCloud iOS

Hi, I have myCloud on iPad(s) & iPhone(s), but when I want to do the update I get the following error message. “Cannot Update App Swisscom myCloud cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID.” I tried with all Apple ID’s and still the same message. Yes, deleting the app and reinstalling it works, but then I have to wait weeks until everything (photos +/- 100,000 and files +++) is available again… Tips and suggestions are gratefully accepted 🙂 Thanks and greetings, Gecco

“On apprend parfois plus d'une défaite que d'une victoire” — José Raúl Capablanca

Hi and thank you for the feedback 🙂 Unfortunately I cannot follow the suggested steps because they are not “offered” or displayed on my iPhone or iPad, for example. For example, for me it is at the top right and not at the bottom left. when I press on the “Profile” I see my AppleID, thanks to “Purchased”, “Subscriptions”, “Notifications”. Then comes, “Redeem…”, “Send Gift…”, “Add Funds”. Then “Personalised Recommendations” and finally “Updated Recently” followed by all the apps. Another problem is that when I do a “New install”, all the photos are uploaded again and my storage space in myCloud is used accordingly, always smaller than 1.7TB/2.0 TB, although it should be +/- 300 GB in total . The problem is obviously related to the fact that I tried the myCloud beta, it has now “expired” and now the app can neither be “updated” nor opened… A kind of thank you from Swisscom for being “stupid” enough to join them To support betas 😞

In my opinion it has nothing to do with the “beta” version if the app was completely deleted and reinstalled again, as it was there from the beginning when testing.

I only have “Switzerland” on all iOS devices for shopping in the shop.

Hi, I tried everything and in the end all I had to do was reinstall. What then happened is that all the photos are uploaded again, +/- 100,000, myCloud obviously doesn’t differentiate between “duplicates” and uploads them all again, which leads to this that my myCloud storage space is “occupied” twice and three times, i.e. with 2 iPhones and 3 iPads, so myCloud will be with that same data occupied 5 times.

In my opinion it probably has something to do with an error in the beta, because I also get the error message “myCloud Beta Has Expired”, which is why it is not possible to “update” the regular myCloud or install new ones from one other AppleID. This is only possible if the app (beta) is deleted and then reinstalled, i.e. everything starts from the beginning, as described in the first section above. Greetings Gecco.

I know that, I was often at the top and they were all always very understanding (including at Apple) and always assured that my concern was very important, only to always come to nothing. The fact is that the way the OS is developing, they don’t actually want people to deal with it because, according to them, everything is taken care of and there is no reason to ask questions - a new installation is ALWAYS suggested instead of solving the problem solve, a kind of panacea 😒
