Playback errors in the recordings - small flash sign!

    I’ve been having problems with my recordings for the last month, which are about 1 month old. And I want to start a recording normally and then nothing happens, after a while I just get an error message “Playback error”, but very important, I don’t have a flash sign, so it looks normal at first glance. Oh yes, what I also noticed is that it’s always on “Sky Cinema”, a pay channel, not normal recordings from TV.

    What can that be? Problems in the Swisscom cloud with my recording storage? Swisscom told me they don’t have any problems and other people don’t have these problems either. So what can it be?

    If the problem is not resolved as quickly as possible, I will be forced to resign. I don’t pay a “high” subscription price and the recordings all have “playback errors” and I can’t start anything. That’s no use to me at all, there’s enough competition.

    Does anyone have any advice or has similar problems? As I said, NO LIGHTNING SIGN!

      Hallo zusammen

      Am 1.4.2022 wurde blue Prime durch Sky Cinema ersetzt.
      Dabei musste eine Senderkonfiguration eingespielt werden,
      welche dafür sorgt, dass der zu speichernde Inhalt erhalten bleibt.

      Normalerweise werden gespeicherte Filmdaten nach 2 Wochen
      vom Kurzzeitspeicher auf den Langzeitspeicher verschoben.

      Aufgrund eines Fehlverhaltens, welches lange unerkannt geblieben ist,
      wurden diese Filmdaten nicht korrekt verschoben und sind seither nicht mehr
      verfügbar.

      Leider können die betroffenen Aufnahmen daher nicht mehr abgespielt werden.

      Der Fehler konnte am 2.6.2022 behoben werden und alle Aufnahmen ab diesem
      Zeitpunkt werden nun korrekt gespeichert.

      Wir möchten uns für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten in aller Form
      entschuldigen.

    @Spawn In the English-speaking forum it was also reported that individual recordings from Sky Cinema could not be played. The moderator then advised the hotline to call 0800 800800 and create a problem ticket.

    Thanks for the tip. I’ve already reported a problem, but I’m a bit skeptical because this is the second time I’ve had it. But maybe it’s only on Sky Cinema, that could still be the case.

    In rare cases it happens that recordings can no longer be played back. I have already reported specific cases to the helpdesk, but they can usually no longer save the recordings. However, you should still create a fault ticket.

    Yes, as long as they’re still “running” I can record them again, but that can’t be right, can it? And in 3-4 weeks they won’t work again…

    Yes, it could very well be that there are disruptions. No technical system works perfectly.

    It is therefore important to report each individual case. The more messages, the higher the priority for remediation.

    Only certain recordings

    No reset, no cable replacement or new TV box will help because the error is on the Swisscom side!

    The error was already present around six months ago, across Switzerland!

    There were also recordings that I couldn’t start and others that worked. After a long back and forth with support (still without Sam 😉) all of my recordings suddenly worked!

    Now…

    Since changing the recording memory to 2000h, I have the theater with the recordings again. Again, not all recordings work, or rather: you can’t watch certain ones, it’s a lottery as to which ones work!

    I’m sick of calling again, pressing seven buttons and being on hold listening to that ugly, loud song!
