Changing your TV subscription from L to M: what happens to the recordings?

  • Hello everyone

Has anyone had any experience with changing their existing TV recordings from L to M?

If I start this subscription change via MySwisscom, I will be informed that some of my recordings will be lost.

Is this just a general message ignoring the recordings I actually have?

Because according to data usage, it shows me that I currently have 136 hours (of 2000 hours) occupied and 21 hours (of 500 hours) are archived.

Since a maximum of 250 hours are available with TV Subscription M (including 50 hours in the archive), none of my recordings should be lost.

If I start the change directly on the TV, the message says that up to 90% of my recordings could be lost. This indicates more of a general advisory message. But I want to be sure and not lose any recordings.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

    • @Bodosi97 This advisory message refers to you losing the storage space you previously had. It doesn’t look at how much of it you use effectively. So if you use so “little” that you still have enough space for it afterwards, nothing stands in the way of changing.

    Hello ThomasS

Thank you very much for your answer.

To be on the safe side, I will first watch a few recordings and then delete them to reduce the storage space even more. After that I’ll probably dare to switch to TV M. But it could still take a few weeks.

    LG
