Get Light package with Outlook

  • I canceled my subscription and converted my email account to a light package. I can log in in the browser, but connecting via Outlook no longer works. What am I doing wrong? I renewed the email login password on “My Swisscom”. This cannot be the problem.

I configured the email as an IMAP account and made the following settings in Outlook:

    Incoming emails

    Server: imaps.bluewin.ch Port: 993

    Outgoing emails

    Server: smtpauths.bluewin.ch Port: 465

    Thanks for your help.

    • I had set the email password again via MySwisscom, but the problem was that I set the old password again and there was no message from the MySwisscom page that this was a problem. Now I have set another new password and everything works again... So I didn't set the same one again out of laziness, but a NEW one. Thanks.

    Hello @Hildaziong43

The Swisscom login and PW is not the same login as the email.

    Go to My-Swisscom Mail.

    Change email password

The email password is not the same as that of My-Swisscom.

There is also a link there on how to set it up.

    IMAP4: imaps.bluewin.ch (Port 993)

    SMTP: smtpauths.bluewin.ch (Port 465)

    Greetings Lorenz

The usual mistake is that you try to use the password for the Swisscom login (which is also used for web mail) to register an account within an email program.

However, the mailbox for using an email program has its own password.

If you don't remember, you have to log in with the Swisscom login in Kundencenter and set a new mailbox password specifically for the relevant email address.

With the email address and the newly set mailbox password (i.e. not the Swisscom login password) you can then integrate the mailbox into Outlook via IMAP.
