Smartwatch with or without LTE?

Good morning everyone,

I’m thinking about buying the Galaxy Watch 4. Since my last smartwatch is an Amazfit GTR with a very limited scope, I’m wondering whether I should buy an LTE or a BT variant. Let’s take the LTE costs into account (there are already offers for a data subscription starting at €4 per month).

Can you give me tips? Is an LTE variant worth it or is it more of a gimmick that you need less?

Does anyone even have a Watch 4 and can tell me their impressions? 😉

Kind regards and a nice Advent season!

Dominic

@WalterB thank you for your tip; I looked at this brand a long time ago but “discarded” it again because it doesn’t include smart features such as music (control). This is of course a practical feature when doing sports.

Which guts do you mean exactly?

@DomiP

See example at the link, the watch is mainly for sports and health.

Alarm functions and caller ID are also available.

You can stay up to date on the go with vibration alerts and smartphone notifications directly on the integrated digital display. Steel HR supports forwarding calls, text messages, appointments and notifications from your selected apps.

@DomiP

I’m quite old-fashioned in this regard. Only a mechanical watch or a high-quality quartz watch with a battery that lasts at least 2 years can fit on my wrist.

People are already slaves to their smartphones, now they are also becoming dependent on smart watches, without me I’m just saying.
