With Internet Booster 5G only 4G is always active

Hello everyone

I use the Internet Booster 5G together with the Internet Box 3. When I look at the booster, 5G is always on “Not Connected”. But I have great 5G reception on my cell phone. The booster is always only connected to 4G.

Swisscom support says the device works perfectly.

From a Swisscom antenna. The Swisscom technician also confirmed this.

When I installed the booster, I had around 3 hours of 5G reception on the booster. Nothing at all since then.

I would call support again (0800 800 800) and if the 1st level again thinks that everything is normal, request that you be connected to the 2nd level or at least the case be escalated to the 2nd level.

That was already the 2nd level support. The 1st level support said the booster appears to be defective. But thank you very much for your effort.

I just find it strange that the booster worked for about 3 hours and then no longer had a connection with 5G.

At the beginning I also had several interruptions with 5G and then had the power supply to the 5G booster for 5 seconds. pulled out and plugged back in.

The whole thing also became more and more stable within about 14 days, I assume it was adjusted.

But it is also very possible that something is wrong with the booster.

    I found the condition on November 4th. 2021** when 5G was no longer active.

    But I didn’t have to change the 5G booster, I still have the same one, you probably already had the booster for 5-10 seconds. disconnected from the power supply, if so I would wait.
