@CRO Yes, with the switch to a new data provider, this information no longer exists, so it has been deleted.

@CRO me too, unfortunately no longer, but I can understand Swisscom’s argument. See post 129 here:

@Stauldoteiy82 For this you would first need a clever web browser on the box, I haven’t seen one yet 🙈.

Gaeilgeoir it’s always a question of what a “smart” web browser is.
However, it should be sufficient for individual Wikipedia entries directly from the EPG. And in my opinion it would definitely be better than the current situation.
This is what the mobile version of a Swiss actor’s Wikipedia entry looks like with the built-in web browser (probably an older Opera).
(Even the preview for links works, as can be seen here in the example of Zurich)
What is tedious: Since there is no direct link to the web browser and the address bar is hidden, you have to search for a suitable link such as Disneyplus or Wikipedia via a directly linked YouTube channel such as the ESA’s on YouTube. And it crashes every now and then, so it’s understandable that it’s not fully available to all users. But I don’t see any problem when accessing Wikipedia articles directly without user interaction.
@Stauldoteiy82 The Wikimedia Foundation even offers a specific API for this: [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&generator=search&gsrsearch=Scarlett+Johansson&prop=info](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&generator= search&gsrsearch=Scarlett+Johansson&prop=info)
This source could actually be imported with little effort - it is of course questionable whether information about place of birth or other (less interesting) information is even relevant? IMDB, for example, also has corresponding data sets that were integrated into Plex, for example.
I wouldn’t implement a direct integration with halfway possible access to the browser! Google had just integrated one of these into AndroidAuto. As a “RickRoll” for this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO9XlQrEt2Y.
Afterwards, for example, I was able to access meme videos or the British Airways onboarding video on the car’s control console… I don’t want to imagine what would happen on the TV…
Kærar kveðjur - herzliche Grüsse

I think a lot is conceivable, but I don’t know whether it’s always that easy to implement. We’ve gotten used to it now and I use my phone to look it up when I’m interested in something about an actor. It’s not as comfortable anymore, but it’s okay. Let’s see how this develops further.

@Stauldoteiy82 That’s true of course, I meant one that you can easily select as an app on the home screen 😀.
