Thanks for the links! I went to take a look and some users are reporting the same problem. If I understand correctly, for some, the problem resolved itself “by itself” given a little time.

I still called 1st level support, who told me after a few minutes of “tests” on the Swisscom infrastructure, that "everything is fine on our side, and I see that you are well connected in 5G because It says LTE.” To which I replied that 5G is not LTE and that in the Booster interface it is indicated that the 5G network is “disconnected”.

Unfortunately, nothing happened, my interlocutor persisted in his response. I still insisted by saying that I had no speed gain, that the flow was the same with or without Booster. To which I was told to “do tests at three different times of the day, TV off, WiFi off and call back”.

In short, I basically haven’t made any progress thanks to the support regarding my initial problem…

Apparently @Roger G from Swisscom seems to know the subject better based on the discussions in the Swiss-German posts.

I’m continuing my testing this evening and one interesting thing, when the booster starts, for a minute it seems to connect to 5G, but after the minute the 5G disconnects and the booster says “Not Connected”…

@Fronfgvra

I think that without being completely normal when the G5 mode is too weak compared to the G4, the latter which takes precedence.

My first personal test where I would have preferred it as a fixed location my results were the same as in your screenshot.

To summarize what I noticed that when the G4 signal is more powerful, the 5G disconnects within the next minute.

At the moment the place where it is located is 5G and stronger than 4 and no interruption of 5G.

You need to look for another location because the signal in your screenshot shows that it is too weak.

Good morning,

I installed my Nokia FastMile 5G Receiver 5G14-B 5G Internet Booster, which works correctly.

The green LED is on, so “very good connection”.

However, I cannot make the connection between the Nokia Wireless app (installed on my Galaxy S23 Ultra) and the Nokia Internet Booster 5G.

I scanned the Nokia QR-code affixed to the sticker provided in the box with the identifiers, my Galaxy S23 Ultra nevertheless detects the device under the name “Nokia-69-D2” which I associate, and which one is then well paired. But then during the connection process the following message appears: “Something went wrong during the communication with the device. Please try again or make sure you have provided the correct device information. In case of problems contact customer support.”

I have tried several times and the same message appears.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thanks for your help.

@Christophe1080 Hello

I just tested and found myself with the same problem as you. But I found the solution! I don’t know what your computer skills are, so here’s what to do: go to the web page of your internet box at the address 192.168.1.1. Next, you should see the connected 5G booster listed at the top right. Simply click on it to pull down the menu which tells you the IP address of the booster. Open this IP address and the menu should appear. At some point, you will be asked to enter the password found on the small card provided with the device. In the left menu, you will find the box “General”. On the right, you will have to click on “Factory reset” to reset the device. It will take approximately 2 minutes for the device to restart.

Once you have configured the booster online and the color of the sticker has changed from red to black, open the “Nokia Wireless” application on your smartphone. Scan the QR code on the packaging (be careful, do not scan the Swisscom Logistics code as this could cause confusion!). Follow the on-screen instructions. When pairing, you will see the LED flash blue quickly, then orange for a few seconds. As soon as the connection is established, all information will be available on your smartphone! The device name will appear as “FastMile 5G Receiver”.

PS: It is important not to forget to activate Bluetooth on the booster web page. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on before continuing.

    Hi Doremi,

    Thank you for all the information. My computer skills are, let’s say “not bad” since I build PCs myself :-). So I will be able to reset my Nokia 5G Internet Booster without any problems with your instructions.

    First, I entered the settings of my 5G booster, to make sure I found myself in the right place that you described (image below).

    Before I restart the booster by clicking on Reset of “Factory Reset”, can you assure me that after doing a Reset, that all the parameters will automatically be reinstated as before? So, as a preventative measure, I’m wondering if I don’t want to first try restarting the booster by clicking on Reboot Device, and trying to connect the Nokia Wireless app again during the reboot or after the reboot. Unless you’ve already tried a reboot.

    In any case, thank you very much for your message and for the information.

    @Christophe1080 Hello

    Thank you for your feedback. Restarting the booster did not help me unlike the factory reset. Regarding this step, you cannot do anything on your side because the data is retrieved from your customer area, provided that you have not deactivated the LAN cable that connects the internet box during the operation.

    Hello everyone,

    For my part, I received my 5G internet booster a few weeks ago. I struggled so much to find an optimal position… Now my question is why when I plug it in for the first minute the signal indicator is in 4g at ⅘ and in 5g at ⅗ then the connection disappears at the end of a minute?

    Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello Marcell1980

    The connection cuts out regularly, could you please provide more details on this?
