Swisscom-Support

  • When I asked support what there was as a replacement for FOX, I received the following, meaningful and solution-oriented answer.

    Of course, no questions remain unanswered.

    Thank you!

    “You are writing to us about the channel FOX. Thank you very much. Our channel list has changed again and again over the years and will continue to have new offers in the future. However, this also means that we have to part with some channels. • @Gross-ATuin RTL crime was switched on in Blue Max as a replacement for Fox. There is now no replacement in Top German +, but to be honest you have to say that several channels from the old Teleclub packages were added there not long ago. There isn’t much that could be taken in from the German-speaking Pay Light sector, Pro7 Fun and Sat1 Emotions, but that’s a matter of negotiation, and as we know, Swisscom never says anything about new channels.

    The disappearance of channels like Fox is not only with Swisscom but also with other providers, but there is a solution to include 7fun channels back in the package where they are missing. And that the packages are offered differently than before, i.e. Swisscom makes its own packages the packets from other providers, so that you take them from other services like Canal+ channels and mix them up and put them in a Swisscom packet and then you take away the packets from other providers… yes, what Swisscom is doing is complicated, the result is, There are the same channels in different packages and so in the end you no longer have what you should have. Example?

    Pack A 20 channels

    Packet B has 24 channels (6 of which are in A) so you actually only have 18 channels

    You should leave out the thing with the duplicate channels. Because Swisscom can’t open duplicate channels twice, but you pay for it, i.e. in the example you pay for 44 channels and in the end you only have 38 channels, so you pay too much for 6

    @Alanius69 It’s not about the number of channels. Negotiations are taking place with the broadcasters’ distributors and they certainly have a say. There are also people who only have package A and others only have package B. Everyone can decide for themselves what they are willing to pay, but that has nothing to do with the number of channels but rather the content.

    No matter how many channels, what I don’t think is right is the offer, instead of making too many, it’s better to do fewer, and as far as Canal plus channels are concerned, I pay Swisscom the ones to Canal and with that they can put the channels in their own packages, which means they can be sent twice collect, ie once for Swisscom once for Canal+ that’s what I was told by Canal+ because Swisscom doesn’t open the same channels twice, that’s what I mean and not the number of channels, I hope Swisscom does something about that new offer

    @“x”#872562how about an answer that relates to my question and not a meaningless standard saying? I didn’t complain that the channel was gone, but rather what was offered as a replacement.

    @Gross-ATuin

    Channels disappear, new ones are added, but there is no 1:1 replacement for a channel that has been eliminated. In addition, Swisscom generally does not communicate in advance what will be activated.

    To be honest, the German-speaking people get off better with the offer than the French ones, where it is expensive with fewer offers and new ones. Customers even get more than long-term customers, plus a lot of the offers on the TV box are not stated or incorrect information is given. Of course it could be You can do better with a lot of things so that everyone benefits from it, but Swisscom misses it, I mean in a while many people will switch because UPC is cheaper with the new offer, many people will switch there if Swisscom doesn’t do anything.

    I think you should also activate all channels that are at least in the M package for Blue TV Air. Good examples are the channels Kabel1 Doku, E! Entertainment, Eurosport 2 or folk music TV. These were just a few examples. Kabel1 documentation is even included in the S package, so I don’t really understand the whole thing.

    But otherwise overall I have to say that it’s a good thing for those who don’t want to have a box at home and don’t have an InOne Home at home. Like a Zattoo or Teleboy subscription. UPC and Sunrise don’t offer such an option that I know of. I don’t know about Quickline.

    @Stonck13 You can of course discuss it, but you also have to realize that the channel bouquet for 10 CHF / month is not bad, while the TV M costs 25 CHF / month, so 344 to 358 channels . Of course you have a different replay (30 hours to 7 days) and only 60 hours of recording memory in the TV Air compared to the not-exciting 120 hours in the TV M. Yes, what now also makes a difference is Blue Play. But in terms of channels, I honestly don’t see any reason why both offers should contain the same thing, given this price difference. As you yourself wrote, this is especially not the case if you get the Internet from a cheaper provider.

    In a way, that’s true, but if you see the recording and the replay difference and take away the play offer, I think it’s a fair thing if at least the channels from the M package are included or if you can book the Top German option, then you’ll be fine 19 francs a month with 30 hours of replay and 60 hours of recordings.

    As I said, a clean affair for 10 francs if you look at it that way. Sure, I could take out a package M or L but I really don’t want this white box. I’m probably pretty well served with Sky Sat, Zattoo and Blue TV Air.
