Hello Hiotaubie96
Was your problem solved? I have the same thing, except that all other file formats can no longer be opened (docx, xlsx, pdf,…). The error message says: “File type not supported”. I also have an S21 and the latest version of myCloud.
Word, Excel, etc. are installed.
Thanks for feedback.

If you want to display.docx or.xlsx on your smartphone, Microsoft Office or at least an appropriate reader must be installed on your smartphone.
Unfortunately, I’ve had the same problem for a few days on my Sony Xperia 5 II with MyCloud 21.33.2 (897).
All apps (Adobe Reader, Excel, Word, etc.) are installed.
Even reinstalling MyCloud and the third-party apps was unsuccessful.
The only way to open the files is currently to download the file and then open it locally via the file browser, which is extremely laborious…
Hello everyone, there is an error in the Android Mycloud app that needs to be corrected.
For me, instead of downloading, click on the 3 dots next to the file and then “share as an attachment” and open it with the appropriate program. Here is the statement from Swisscom.
Thank you for contacting us and describing the problem.
The problem raised has now been addressed and forwarded directly to our developers. Unfortunately, as a workaround in order to open your files stored in the myCloud with the current version of the myCloud app for Android, we can currently only recommend downloading the files stored in the myCloud beforehand by selecting a file within the myCloud app and using the three Select “Download” from the Dots menu. The file can then be opened locally as usual.
However, our developers are already working on a solution to the problem described, which will be published as quickly as possible using a new version of the myCloud app for Android, which is why we ask you for your patience and understanding in this regard until further notice.
Until then, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your help. If you have any questions or are unclear, we are happy to help and wish you a nice rest of your day.
