Hello @Chaugrereitt23
We are not aware of the error pattern as you describe it. We’re happy to take a look at your Internet box (feel free to send me your username or router serial number in a PM) if you can reproduce the problem systematically. Are you currently back to 03/11/50?
I have the IB3 with firmware version 12.00.52, which apparently is a firmware of the IB 2.
Does anyone know why I don’t have either firmware 12.00.56 or 12.02.40, which are shown as the current firmware on the IB’s help page?
I never do a manual firmware update and always wait until the IB3 does it itself.
That’s an IB3 FW, because an IB2 FW wouldn’t run on an IB3.
12.02.xx is not yet final, but can be used without any problems. Except if you have gfast as your connection type, problems can arise in rare cases. The final version is ready, but will probably not be distributed until January.
Why do you have a different 12.00.xx than the one on the help page? To do this, you need to understand how the rollout takes place. A firmware is tested in a small group and then distributed to 2-3 thousand connections at some point. If you don’t see any problems, then 10,000 or more connections get the firmware and you look again. If a problem then occurs, the problem is solved and there is a different version and you start testing again, but with different connections. If everything is good then you start updating all routers. With 12.00.xx this was no longer done for customers with landline telephony, because they found another problem. Then the rollout was frozen and all focus was placed on 12.02.xx. Admittedly, this is a bit unusual, but it can happen since there are major updates to FW components in 12.02.xx.
Simply download FW12.02.xx from the homepage and update it manually. The final update will then come automatically. Or you wait.
Something can always go wrong with an automated update, i.e. there will always be a few boxes that are not pulled up.
The current version is 02/12/40, you can download it here and do the upgrade yourself:

I don’t know why you have a version of IB2 on your IB3.
What won’t do anything? 02/12/40 is tip top. The final version, which will be coming soon, will also solve the gfast problem.
What kind of problems do you have? And normally you can’t go back because the FW would be overwritten again within 24 hours. But at the moment there is an exception. Or did the hotline do that for you? But I would rather look at the problems, because they can definitely be solved @Chaugrereitt23
Since last week we have been able to offer firmware 12.02.48 for you to try out. So far, no problem with the Internet box has been reported by any of our trial customers. We have only received positive results from testing so far. If some errors still occur, we would be happy to look at the error and correct it for the future. If necessary, I would be happy to send you the direct link via PM.
