Polaroid TV cannot be connected to the network

Hello community!

Warning: I have no idea what I have to do and maybe my question is stupid or in the wrong category. I ask for your indulgence. 🙂

I’ve had the Polaroid TV super HD 4K TCS 50U4kPR002 for two (yes two) years and everything works well. I have Blue TV. The TV is in the bedroom and has a second TV box. Somehow it also worked via WiFi. And everything was paletti.

Now I’m housebound because of Corona and wanted to see what else my TV can do. I can’t get a connection to the network. So to the Internet from Swisscom. So I did the Anschluss on cable, the picture got a little better, but even now there is no connection to the network or router.

In addition, the picture has been standing still for a few days now and then. This is a bit annoying when you watch a recorded program because nothing works anymore.

There are certainly bigger problems, but if someone could tell me what’s going on here or what I’m doing wrong, I’d be a little happier. 🙂 We have a fiber optic line.

Thank you very much and kind regards!

How exactly is the TV box in the bedroom connected to the router/internet box?

- Cable? (What one)

- direct WiFi connection?

- WiFi connection kit (what kind?)

- any other components?

Hello!

Wow, that was some time ago, but the topic is still present.

My TV box is connected to the router via LAN. WiFi didn’t work.

We now also have a new router. Internet Box 4.

The reception works perfectly. I just want to stream a series and don’t know how to get it from my iPad or Samsung cell phone to the TV.

I used to think that I knew all about this technical stuff, but now I have big question marks in my head. The brochure that comes with the TV doesn’t say anything about what you can do.

If anyone can help me, I will be very grateful. Thank you very much and kind regards

Patricia

AirPlay is best for streaming with an iOS device. If the TV cannot do this, you will need a corresponding AirPlay dongle or an Apple TV-Box.

Chromecast is preferred for Android devices. There are also corresponding dongles for the TV if it does not support Chromecast.

There are also dongles on the market that can do AirPlay and Chromecast, but since I don’t use them myself I can’t recommend them.

Of course, you can also connect the phone/tablet to the HDMI input on the TV using an appropriate adapter cable.
