Chaos regarding SD/HD in the channel list

  • Is it just me or is the channel list on the Swisscom website incorrect? For example, SRF 1/Info or many blueSport channels are only listed as available in SD, which is not true or can hardly be true. Or, for example, SRF two is available with blueTV S and M in HD and with blueTV L and X in SD, which wouldn’t be exactly understandable either. Does anyone here know what’s going on?

      Hello everyone

It is correct: The interface that supplies the channel list on swisscom.ch is currently partially faulty. This is why the quality/package allocation is sometimes incorrect.

The relevant team is aware of the problem and will work on it in the coming year.

Alternatively, the channel list in My Swisscom Kundencenter can be consulted.

    Hello @TiN2

There is a good reason why most channels are available in HD and SD:

There are still regions that are still not fully developed and only SD reception is possible there. This means that these customers can also watch TV.

Or there are customers who would like a 2 or 3 TV-Box, but their data line is too weak to receive 2 * HD. They can then receive 1 HD & 1 SD and have both TVs active at the same time.

    Hello @Lori-77

Thanks for the reply. The irritating thing, however, is not that these channels are available in SD, but that they are stated as only available in SD and so, if the list is correct, they would not be available at all or would only be available in HD with the cheaper blueTV packages.

What is perhaps not so good is that you can no longer filter SD and HD with the filter.

      Hello @WalterB

      Thank you for the answer.
Unfortunately I wasn’t precise enough. The question does not refer to the channel list in Kundencenter but to the channel list on the Swisscom website ([https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/abos-tarife/inone-home/swisscom-blue-tv/sender.html](https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/abos -tariffs/inone-home/swisscom-blue-tv/sender.html))

With Blue Max, the Prime and Stars channels are still displayed in SD quality. After a week you should expect that this has now been corrected. Or are these channels actually no longer broadcast in HD, in contrast to the previous Blue Movie? That would be totally illogical!

I am now waiting for a statement from Swisscom in this regard!

It’s been a week and still no clarity!

Why am I even writing here!? Great customer service, thank you!!

January 17, 2021: seems to be difficult to get the channel lists correct, still chaotic!!! How can you decide on one of the offers if such elementary information is wrong!!!!
