Hello @Romarani13
We are currently still working on getting the Disney app.
We Swisscom would like to offer this, but the whole thing wouldn’t work without OKAY from Disney.
However, there are currently no further details about a possible start date 😉
Swisscom usually doesn’t announce apps in advance, and we can’t really do that if we don’t know when any contracts will actually be signed.

Of course, it would be a good thing if more and more streaming subscriptions were also available directly on the Blue TV platform.
From a technical point of view, however, it must also be mentioned that this pleasure is of dubious use as long as the Swisscom TV boxes are not able to adapt adaptively to the frame rate of films and series produced according to USA standards.
Based on the examples of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, quite large differences in quality can already be seen in the playback of 24P content, really only depending on whether you are watching the same content directly on a Smart TV app, via Apple TV or via a Swisscom TV-Box plays.
Currently clearly visible, for example, on the Amazon hit series “Mrs. Maisel” or on Netflix “Star Trek Discovery”.
Since the Smart TV apps and Apple TV can provide significantly better playback quality, I currently only use streaming apps from the Swisscom TV platform for testing purposes.
24P compatibility would also be an issue with Disney+.

When will the Disney + app finally come to Swisscom Blue TV? If you consider that Swisscom Blue TV is the most expensive product in the TV area, it’s a shame that the app is always not available and there is no excuse because Quickline has made it through the app on your receiver/box why can’t Swisscom do it?
@arta.prenaj Swisscom TV doesn’t have a Google Play Store where you can easily install all kinds of apps, hoping that everything will work so easily.
The goal of Swisscom TV is to fully integrate the apps and content so that you don’t have to switch to the app to display suggestions and content in the portal and can start directly from there.
@TV-Liebling Yes, the clarifications will continue until the Disney + app is compatible with the Swisscom applications. That seems to be the problem. Unfortunately, this is not currently possible at Swisscom Box. The most possible options would be Apple TV or if you have a Smart TV, the Disney + app may be in the app store (like mine). I think it’s web-based too (but I don’t have one to test). I’m sorry

Buy an Apple TV 4K and all your problems will be solved:
*Netflix
*Disney+
*Apple TV+
*Amazon Prime Video
*Sky
- Play SRF (complete SRG media library)
- Play Switzerland
- ARD media library
- ZDF media library
- ARTE
- Teleboy (with Teleboy Max including 70 channels available in full HD, soon also the SRG channels)
- etc.
I have been an exclusive Apple TV user for 4 years. The boxes are regularly supplied with updates and still run like they did on the first day, including the normal Apple TV HD. In my opinion, there are practically no reasons left for Swisscom or Blue TV on proprietary boxes, except for a larger selection of channels and packages. Since the days of linear television are over anyway, most users will be more than happy with a Teleboy MAX subscription for 185 Fr. / year (15.40 Fr. / month).
What is still (intentionally) missing is a Blue TV app from Swisscom. But the competitive pressure will also conjure up this.
