Finally ice hockey again on blue TV

In autumn 2020, a long-awaited wish of many Swisscom customers will come true: Swiss ice hockey and the entire MySports program will also be available on Swisscom TV thanks to an agreement between UPC and Swisscom.

Background: From autumn 2020, Swisscom and UPC will allow their customers in Switzerland equal and complete access to the respective platforms (MySports and Teleclub). This means that all Swisscom TV and UPC customers as well as customers of other TV platforms can now enjoy the content from MySports and Teleclub, each under the same conditions.

In the future, Swisscom TV customers will have the opportunity to follow all games of the highest Swiss football and ice hockey leagues as well as the games of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, many other European football leagues or the European and North American hockey leagues without restrictions.

The offer will be available to book on the respective TV platforms shortly before the start of the new football and hockey season - i.e. from autumn 2020. All details about the offers will be communicated by the providers in good time before the launch. You can find the media release on the topic here.

Thank you very much for the news. Since you referred to this in the relevant thread and it was then given a lock, another question: Will we then, like UPC or Quickline, also get MySports One in a TV M or TV L package. And yes, dear super users, I know that Swisscom does not announce channel activations in advance and I even know the hotline number🤪. But in this case it’s a little different. I assume MySports Preview will come (albeit rather uninteresting) 🙃

Finally! After I switched to UPC three years ago because of the NLA and was not at all satisfied with the operation of the box, I can now watch ice hockey on Swisscom TV again. I hope I can also buy a package without football (Teleclub)!? Does anyone know that?

I would like to wish all customers that this option will soon be available. Personally, I’m not interested in it at the moment.

I have the Sky app with Sky Sport and the MySports option. That means the SKY Sport channels and the MySports package. I grabbed it when it was on special offer for 29.90 until it was cancelled. Since golf and F1 are also important to me, this is of course the optimal and cost-effective solution. MySports normally costs 25.- and Sky Sports costs 19.90, so I save 15.- a month.

I would rather finally have a TV Air app for Apple TV. So that I can also watch Teleclub at the campsite. Or a broadcast in replay. Of course, I can also connect the iPhone to the Apple TV or directly to the TV using an adapter, but it is not as convenient as directly to the Apple TV.
Please excuse me for going a bit off topic.

Those were the best times of 2016 Big in Love. There were no licensing restrictions on Sky at Teleclub. Well, why doesn’t it work anymore… it would be possible, but money rules these days.

It’s September, the ice hockey season is starting soon and @Anonymous doesn’t think it’s necessary to communicate details like prices for individual ice hockey game rentals. Very weak Swisscom.

The start of the season in the National League and the Swiss League will take place two weeks later than planned. Instead of the start date of September 18th, the first games will take place on Thursday, October 1st.

With all due respect for your optimism, I would be pleasantly surprised if everything can be booked and works just in time for the start of the season.

You yourself wrote in the announcement about ‘close to the start of the season’ and not ‘just in time for the start of the season’.

@thoems The relevant channels have already been switched on in the background (since Friday). In our experience, it will take another one to two and a half weeks until the channels can be received. So, you can be hopeful 🙂

Good move, then you’ll have to wait and see what UPC does in return with full TC Sport, because after all, football starts earlier than ice hockey 😉

But hey Swisscom, it’s not just about ice hockey, the Bundesliga starts before September 22nd, and you’ll probably still have to switch to Sky Sport until then.

I don’t see any problem with that, the channels are already running in the background and you can take a look at them using the VLC player 😉

The only thing that needs to be adjusted is to implement a new package so that you can subscribe directly online as well as on the SCTV box.

The past has shown that you have direct access to the channels within seconds of subscribing.
