call&message+ code

  • hello Community, hello Swisscom,

I set up a second cell phone and now receive this call&message+ code every 5 minutes. If I knew where and was interested in it, I would enter the code somewhere. But the fact that it has been sent to me every 5 minutes for 12 hours now looks like a prank. In reality, this is quite annoying.

Thank you for your contributions to the Call&Message+ code. We have had this clarified by the relevant internal expert and have just received the following answer:

The code will no longer be sent to you once you have connected the additional device 4G (VoLTE) and the latest firmware is installed on the device.

Best regards and thank you for your brief feedback.

    Hello @JoelV,

Thank you very much for the clarification. I was actually always connected to 4G (Volte). I am not being offered a new firmware at the moment. But I was always logged into the WiFi. Wi-Fi turned off and lo and behold the codes stopped coming. Device turned off, turned back on and no codes. Let’s see if it stays that way on another day. Thank you very much and have a nice day.

    Hello everyone

I had the same problem with lots of text messages per day. A call to Swisscom Natel Support advised me to use the following settings to stop this flood of SMS. (My phone: Samsung S20 Ultra - Android 10):

    - Open the SMS app

    - Select three point menu

    - Select Settings

    - Select chat settings

    - Rich Communications Settings: set to OFF

After that, text messages can continue for up to 48 hours, after which there should be no more text messages.

By the way, I was assured that it has nothing to do with multi-device.

The Rich Communication app is the successor to SMS, but is apparently still a bit immature, which in certain constellations leads to such a flood of SMS.

That doesn’t help at all, the text still comes every five minutes. I installed the latest Android update on my Samsung. WiFi is out Multi-device card is therefore connected to G4. I don’t know what else I should update. Now the SMS comes every five minutes on my main device. If you send a code, please let us know how and where to enter it. Simply spamming the customer is completely pointless. So how can I stop the annoying text messages???? Where can I enter the code????

    Thanks for a satisfactory answer.

I was told by support that the Multi Device has no influence. For me the text messages only stopped when I turned off the Multi Device device. The text messages on the main device stopped immediately. I turned the Multi Device device back on after about 10 hours and no longer received any text messages on the main device.

After 24 hours of text spamming, I received the following solution from support. Insert the main SIM card into the multidevice device. Then another text message comes to the device and then no more. Of course, this assumes that you know which device is causing the text message. In any case, it worked for me - no more text messages :-).

I’ve had this annoying phenomenon too, for days. Unfortunately I cannot remove the SIM from the main device because it has an eSIM.

How can you stop this? Everything that has already been written here has been of no use. The main device is an iPhone 11 Pro Max, the secondary device is a Samsung Galaxy A40.

    Hello @mb2020

You have to switch off RCS on the Multi Device as described below:

    • Open SMS app
    • Select three-point menu
    • Choose settings
    • Choose chat settings
    • Rich Communications Settings: set to “OFF”.

Restart the device and it should work. Otherwise please report again. 🙂

    Kind regards

    Ivan
