Folx TV can be received via satellite again and has been switched back to the old time slot on SC TV, which happened quickly. Well done!

@ThomasS FOLX Music TV still broadcasts on Blue TV in the very muddy SD format.

The signal has been available in HD on Hotbird for a long time. Not a super good HD, but still an acceptable picture, at least better than what Blue TV currently gives us.

FOLX TV made a lot of its own video clips in front of an LED wall, and it is simply unwatchable in SD.

According to information here, Swisscom gets the signal from this source, i.e. from Hotbird, but unfortunately in a downgraded form in SD.

Since the two channels One 1 Music TV HD and ZWEI 2 Music TV HD are already running in the background at Swisscom, and the picture via the VLC Player app on Swisscom TV looks worlds better than the channel FOLX Music TV on blue TV (same transponder on Hotbird ), it should also be possible to at least deliver the image in the same quality (HD).

Thanks for the input. I asked internally.

We have already checked the channel several times and looked at the HD signal. Since the signal is in fact not an HD signal, we will not put the channel on as “HD” and thus show HD, but then not deliver HD, that would not be correct. But we use the “HD source” for the SD signal. But our colleagues are taking another look to see whether we can improve anything in the configuration.

@ThomasS That’s a shame, because the picture is significantly worse than when I watch it directly via the satellite, I don’t like to say it, but you can listen to the radio just as well as this one, which is almost compressed to death to look at picture.

I would say that you also offer other channels in HD that are far from HD in terms of picture or at least content. Of course that depends on the broadcasters. Personally, I prefer a channel in HD (even if it doesn’t quite meet the criteria) to a down-sampled SD channel.

You can start a survey as others see here 😉

It’s just a question of philosophy, but it’s probably most sustainable if the broadcaster offers what it declares. And in order for that to happen again, it would probably be best if everyone who wanted an HD signal from the station contacted the station.

@roku73 Can you look at the quality of the SD channel again? According to colleagues, the configuration was being worked on again there.

I looked to see if there was anything visible on Folx TV.

It’s not worse, it just depends on what’s shown. Feels a little better in quieter scenes. But when there’s a lot going on on the TV picture, the logo is extremely blurry, and the lettering underneath “Music Television” is hard to decipher, very blurry.

The situation is similar via satellite in “HD”, but of course not nearly as blurry. The downscaling to SD is probably to blame for this, a little blurry in HD then turns into mud in SD.

Thanks for the feedback, I have forwarded it accordingly.

The transmitter, or its configuration will certainly be looked at again. It is currently not possible to answer whether an HD connection will be possible in the future.

Folx TV has been missing for a few days. Saved in place 150 for me, when I press “+” it goes from 149 directly to 151 and on the Internet place 150 is now “free slot”.

I only understand the train station. Did Swisscom run the SD or the HD version?

The channel also runs as usual on Astra. But I have the 13.0E HD version in the broadcast list.

@Stonck13 According to the information here, the source is supposed to come from Blue TV from Hotbird 13, but downscaled to SD, which still raises questions for me. One1 and Zwei2 Music Television are also offered in HD by Swisscom.
But now Folx TV has completely disappeared from the channel list on Blue TV.
Only the SD version from Folx TV is available on Astra 19.2.
