If you use the same password as the webmail one, then it is the wrong password….

…sorry, misunderstood…🙈 the PW for webmail is different than that for Mac Mail. I changed it exactly like POGO 1104’s answer, still it doesn’t work…

If it says offline, then delete the account and recreate it from scratch

Have you tried https://www.swisscom.ch/email-update?

Otherwise you can also set this using the manual instructions (“To the instructions”)

If this doesn’t help you, you can delete the account (remove the account from the mail program) and then log in to the account again.

> Click on Mail > Settings > Accounts > Select Account and then Remove.

Sorry, I don’t know Macmail - but the server settings in the screenshot above should work.

Have you tried checking “Automatically manage server settings”?

…I have now deleted the account and reinstalled it with IMAP. And so far it’s working…
