It is what it is. Switching is currently not possible.

There are settings for accessibility on the TV-Box, where you can set the font size to “larger”.
For my visually impaired wife (NHA), this has somewhat eliminated the disadvantages of the new dark mode.
The rest is a matter of getting used to it.

I also want to know how someone comes up with such a horrible idea and forces you to use it without me being able to put it back.
What if there were options like with a PC or cell phone,
where I could set this up.
The contrast between black and white is very tiring for the eyes and makes it confusing.
Just terrible, I please you, dear Swisscom, please please please change that again!!!

The new software was installed overnight and now I have the new, dark design. Confusing, slow and I can’t even adjust the order of the topic selection displayed.
I don’t want to have to click through “Editorial Daily Tips”, “Most Viewed at Teleclub Movie” etc. until I get to what interests me.
Innovative and customer-oriented is different. Please make an improvement next time. I want to be able to determine the order of the ads myself so that I can ignore all the marketing rubbish and tips that don’t interest me anyway.
Instead of getting better, things are getting worse, more confusing and more tedious.
I got the update to the TV-Box yesterday, I really like it, the operation runs very smoothly. Every keystroke is implemented immediately, so the problems with speed cannot be understood.
The TV guide looks good, there are always a few little things to complain about as everyone has different tastes.
I don’t like the font size of the film description, it’s way too big.
The list of actors at the bottom is a matter of taste, I’ll have to get used to it.
But otherwise everything (so far) is great. 😀

Hello @Markus88Stoeckli
Then you have to clean it up with the Logitech remote control and then it should work.
I control everything at home with the Swisscom remote control.
Greetings Lorenz
Sorry for OT… but what do you control with the SC FB other than the TV-Box?
AV receiver, TV, music system?
Update.
Received a response from Swisscom today.

This is the only way to wake up the sleeping giant. Based on the slightly irritated, aggressive and arrogant comments in response to my findings, I assume that there is some flesh on the bone after all. Observations and criticism should actually inspire, but for certain people it seems to be the other way around.
The Swisscom TV product is good, the competition is (hopefully) not sleeping either. This is the only way we consumers can be sure that we will be noticed.

With the new software, is there a way to add the DSPhoto app (or any other app) to My Themes in the main menu?
I’m already waiting for that, I only have 6 apps available that I can integrate.
I would also like to have the DS Apps or the Plex app directly on the home page.
@DomiP wrote:
Apps like Plex or DSPhoto would have to publish a kind of “widget” for the Android ecosystem of Swisscom TV specifically for AndroidTV. As long as they do not install such an interface, Swisscom cannot offer the parts for it.
However, Plex and DS apps are available and usable in the Swisscom Android system. 😉
No, that’s not new here. This annoys me, I find these dark pages with light font very tiring. I don’t know why the advantage of being able to switch to a light or dark background as desired was removed compared to the last version. I see this as paternalism. My navigation system has been able to do this for a long time.
Now let’s be honest: how much of your TV consumption is where you spend time in the guide or menu? Max. 2-3 minutes? And that’s supposed to be tiring?
The way the postings are here, you get the feeling that consumers spend hours in the guide or menu and in between they just watch a film or a show 🤦

Do like we do, get up every time to read 🙂
No joking aside, it is very annoying and hurts the eyes. I don’t understand why people aren’t informed or given the opportunity to choose between views.
The best thing to do is write to support, they wrote me the following:
Customer surveys and usage analyzes have shown that the dark user interface is better received by customers and the readability is rated better.
