TV Box (UHD) does not respond to IR commands despite the IR receiver

  • Hello

I ABSOLUTELY want to control my Swisscom TV with the Logitech Harmony and a Logitech Hub.

To do this, I connected the TV box as a device to the Harmony and an IR receiver with a jack plug to the Swisscom Box. The box says under System > Remote Control > Status Infrared Receiver: Connected.

But it doesn’t respond to the controls. What can I do?

    Thanks & greetings

    Hello @Schukaplauch39

But then the IR jack adapter is the official one from Swisscom and not another part of your own or a third party?

There has already been feedback from other users that they have problems with it and that resetting the Logitech Hub helped them.

Which device did you enter into Logitech? so that the correct IR codes are used on the Logitech.

For me it’s working as it should.

So the problem must be somewhere with you…

Hope you have the latest Logitech software installed?

It’s best to completely reset and reprogram the part and then it should work.

    Greetings

@Schukaplauch39 Infrared signals: Your Logitech remote control does not send any IR signals, but it controls the hub via radio signals. Only the hub then sends IR signals to the IR dongle on the UHD box. The hub must be positioned correctly so that the IR transmitter can control the IR dongle of the UHD box.

With a cell phone camera you can see the IR signal blinking.

Does your Harmony remote control work with the TV?

    Hello Urs

    Thanks for your answer.

No, it is not the official IR jack adapter. I would like to have one, but I can’t find the ordering information or source anywhere. Maybe you can tell me those?

I configured Swisscom / IP-1400 as the device on the Harmony.

    Thanks Walter

It’s clear. The IR receiver of the Swisscom TV is located directly in front of the IR transmitter of the hub. Other devices in my area also receive the signals. So that shouldn’t be the issue.
