Swisscom Box und Logitech Harmony

  • Evening, maybe someone else has the same problem? I replaced Swisscom UHD TV-Box with the new Swisscom Box. Since then, my Harmony Remote (with hub, dongle available) has refused to control the new Swisscom Box.

I tried it with Device Swisscom / Swisscom Box and also arcadyan / IP2000 as a new device, but it doesn’t work with both settings. Does anyone know any advice?

    • Yep, seen and tested too. Before I keep more people on their toes here, I chose the nuclear option, factory reset the Harmony Hub, deleted all devices/activities, re-recorded everything… and suddenly everything works as it should. So there was some bug/feature in Harmony!

      Thx everyone!

I set up my Harmony (with hub and IR dongle) years ago, back then with the first SCTV2.0 box. The UHD box and the new Swisscom box still work quite well. Especially when switching from the UHD box to the new one, I didn’t have to change anything in the Harmony setup.

I put an extender on the hub right next to the IR eye of the TV-Box (with a jack, not USB), that works well. What exactly is no longer working for you? Complete control failure, or just a few commands?

Unfortunately, there was a complete control failure, following your advice, another device Swisscom TV 2.0 was added and a new activity similar to the original one, simply done with a new device, synced, and unfortunately the problem doesn’t work with this activity either.

    Hello @ibarbino

Which IR adapter do you have exactly?

The IR-Kilnken adapter or the IR-USB adapter?

The IP2000 supports exactly the same codes as the IP1400 aka SwisscomTV 2.0.

Which Logitech devices do you have exactly?

I can try to set up the whole thing again for myself based on your information and test what exactly happens.

    Greetings

@ibarbino I have exactly this set. Have you ever unplugged the hub? I had a “failure” last December and ended up having to disconnect the hub from the power for 10s. Afterwards it was ok again.

“The IR dongle is attached to the Harmony hub via a jack” How is this to be understood? I have an IR transmitter on the Harmony hub that comes with your linked kit. On the TV-Box I have an IR eye from the Swisscomshop. connected to the TV-Box with a jack. The two ends (i.e. the transmitter from the hub and the receiver from the TV-Box) are next to each other.

@ibarbino have you looked at this yet?

Played through everything again here and recorded 2 new devices:

    - Swisscom > TV BOX PLUS

    - Swisscom > Swisscom TV 2.0

These were integrated into a new activity, unfortunately the result was still nothing
