@daevu, @DomiP will take a while to integrate Disney+, Swisscom is on it. However, licensing issues must first be clarified and certain quality audits must be carried out by Disney+ at TV-Box and, as we all know, this cannot happen overnight.

Let us wait for the things to come.

Hello everyone

I agree with @user109, we’ll probably have to wait a little longer and be patient.

Because I haven’t received a Disney+ app to test yet.

But Swisscom is certainly very interested in getting this app, but I don’t know of a release date for this app and Swisscom also doesn’t officially provide any advance information about what might come next without the appropriate contracts being signed.

Because what use would it be if I advertised here with a release date and then it doesn’t happen because the appropriate contracts/audits etc. don’t exist or aren’t ready yet.

Greetings

@UrsSch

But it would be interesting to know whether Swisscom is even interested in bringing an app and is therefore negotiating, or whether there is nothing going on at all.

See also AmazonPrime, Hollystar, SkyShow etc.

What I also think, instead of porting thousands of apps to Swisscom TV, it would make much more sense to develop a Chromecast or Apple AirPlay integration, where you can then stream with any app that supports something like that. Dozens of offers but only one application on SC TV…

@DomiP it’s not so easy to stream what each customer individually wants, because Swisscom TV is a public platform provider, the rights holders have a say. Some streaming providers require audits from the platform provider/operator. Nothing works beforehand and that takes a lot of effort and time. If I install things like this privately via an app, it’s a completely different issue and there isn’t as much effort, for whatever reason.

The best example is Netflix.

@UrsSch

I would be happy if YouTube was capable of HDR 😉

@suisse

No Smart TV with apps that can be installed directly on it?

Apps on the Swisscom TV-Box are (and will probably remain) a worse stopgap.

Yes, but I’m such a SCTV Box fan that I actually want to do everything about it 🙂

So when it comes to priorities for troubleshooting the video streaming apps from Swisscom TV, I would put the 24P stuttering first…

… and there’s a lot that could be done about the sound.

Or Swisscom TV on the Smart TV’s. At least LG and Samsung as big players are primarily available. Since Apple TV is now available as a native app on the TV and Disney + will also be available when it launches in Europe (at least with LG), the STB is getting fewer and fewer operating hours. So with me.

It was now okay if you wanted to piggyback on Smart Home for the boomers, but now you can concentrate on the next gen software again.

Hello everyone @Bompauvie63

Disney+ will not be available as an app on Swisscom TV for the time being.

Basically, we want to offer as much content as possible on our platform and are talking to several providers, including Disney.

We would inform you about any specific innovations at the appropriate time.

Best regards
