Same for me:
When you select a TV program, it is always played from the beginning instead of from the current time. Manually moving the playback to live only works up to 2-3 minutes from “live”, otherwise the program jumps back to the beginning. Very annoying.
Browser: Firefox 62.0 (64-bit)
OS: Windows 10
The “Info” button is missing in the TV guide, perhaps an “improvement” with the last update?
Another new improvement: The “volume control” is now horizontal, which means that the entire bar is moved. Changing the volume is much more difficult than before.
I too have the same problem!
In addition, the program I was watching suddenly stops and the screen suddenly goes black and stays that way until it switches to another channel. TV Air also sometimes hangs when switching to another channel!
I would also like to point out that the previous version was much, much better and less error-prone. It was simpler but much more functional!
Unfortunately I feel the same way and so far it’s rather atypical for SC
So far, this version seems to me to have missed the target audience: please correct the errors, that would be nice, thank you!
Live TV is not live, but must always be switched to live using a “time slider” (usually only works after the 2-3rd attempt and is more than just annoying!!!)
why can I no longer select “watch live” or “watch from the beginning” in the TV guide?
and last but not least: “show all” is no longer there in the “Home” overview (for example, it was an option for live TV, but also for the other topics)
I also miss the various TV lists, they’re all things that definitely have nothing to do with “improving service”, on the contrary: for me there were a lot of little things that made TV life on the PC easier!

Hello everyone
We were able to identify a problem that crept in with the last update. Unfortunately, it does not occur generally but only occasionally and even then not on all devices.
The “LiveTV skips at the beginning” issue was fixed today. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Anyway, thanks for your feedback!

If the older version is still displayed, flush the browser’s cookies/cache and reload the page again.
Live TV works perfectly for me again. That doesn’t change the fact that the old version was better and more user-friendly!
With the old version I was able to view Swisscom TV on the older Windows 95 PCs (with Internet Explorer) in our company’s break room without any problems. Now I get the message that the functions are no longer supported and I have to download Firefox. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, this is not possible. Unfortunately, now I have to watch my films on my little cell phone during my long breaks. This shows once again that new doesn’t always have to be better!!
Hi @Andreas_
1.: There will always be people who prefer the older to the newer and have difficulty dealing with change. There’s nothing you can do about it unless the people themselves do it. You go with it or leave it be.
2.: Regarding change, I also think that your company should seriously think about the latest software. Most young people don’t even know Win95 anymore. The comparison you’re making is like saying you can’t watch YouTube videos on a Nokia 3210. And the fact that the company doesn’t allow other browsers for “security reasons” but is still using Win95 is also a bit of an issue. Your IT manager should be able to handle the criticism.
3.: Most recently, streaming on the old web client still worked on Win7/IE11 (32bit). This was probably because SC bent over backwards and used a separate (older) streaming format (namely SMOOTH) specifically for this OS/browser combo. Not least because at that time some companies were still on Win7 and most security regulations did not allow other software (browsers) to be installed. But even there you couldn’t play encrypted content. Now DASH streaming is used everywhere, which is contemporary (you can find out something like that if you have some experience with trace tools). The fact that SC no longer supports this is probably because Win7 will soon be end-of-life and will no longer receive security updates (so your company should get a Win10 computer straight away). From my point of view, this is completely understandable (yes, I hear the screams of all Win7/IE11 users 😉 )
4.: It is the case everywhere that newer versions of software do not have a lot of backward compatibility, not least with Windows itself. The SC TV app only supports Android from OS5 and Apple from iOS9 (can be found in the respective app stores ). The effort and support to maintain the functions for all older OS versions would simply be too great.
5.: buy a bigger cell phone if it’s too small for you. I think everything from 4 inches (i.e. iPhone 4(s)/5(s)) should be sufficient and it doesn’t cost the earth anymore. In addition, I personally think that you can do better things during your break than watching TV.
