@dhartman Send me your landline or DSL serial number. Then I’ll let you take a quick look at it.

Hello everyone
As promised, I’ll report back after successfully changing the router.
Today I connected the router that Swisscom sent me.
Now the VPN app works wonderfully again and the entire installation was much faster than with the old router! There really was a memory defect, as @Anonymous and his team discovered.
Thank you @Anonymous and @Anonymous for the help and great support!
I have one last question: What should I do with the old router?
Dispose? Or can you send me a return label?
Thank you and have a nice Sunday.

I just wanted to prevent SC from simply charging me for the router because I didn’t return it…
Otherwise I’ll just keep it, maybe I’ll be happy… 🙂
It’s your property anyway - that was the case in the last millennium when routers were rental devices.
….keep on rockin' 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I have exactly the same problem. The VPN app is missing from my internetbox plus. In addition, the “Central Storage” app is incorrectly shown as switched on even though it has not been activated.
I called Swisscom support about this and they said that the router needed to be replaced. Since the internet box plus apparently no longer exists, I was first offered the internet box standard. However, this does not support VPN at all. I was then offered the internetbox 2 for 99.- and after a short inquiry (as a gesture of goodwill) for 49.- instead of 299.-. I then asked whether I could pick up the new IB2 straight away from the Swisscom shop and support said that wouldn’t be a problem (he left the special price as a comment in the customer profile).
In the Swisscom shop it suddenly said that this wasn’t so easy and that I could only get the IB2 for the price of 99.-. After a short discussion, it came out that the shop still has the internet-box plus, which can be exchanged, but only after returning the old router, which of course I didn’t have with me because it is still in use…
This is really a hassle, it’s best to cancel the contract and have someone else in the household sign up for a new subscription. As a new customer you at least get the IB2 for free.
