Font in email

  • Hello everyone

When I write an email, the entire text is in the same font. If someone replies to my email or forwards it, then I suddenly have various fonts in my text. Do you know that? Also, where can I change the font from Tahoma to Arial?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

    Greetings, Ursi

@Kompoplauk51 use an external program. Then you can set everything.

Types of writing are completely overrated. The content of an email is important, not the font.

Even at work I send pure text emails. Because the recipient’s mail program has to “understand” the font otherwise it doesn’t help at all. Mail is not Office.

    What are you talking about?

    Webmail?

Why should there be the same font everywhere?

If the sender uses a different font than you, you will see that too.

You can switch to text mail if you use an email program. Then nothing is formatted and there are no different fonts or sizes.

    Dear Marcus

Exactly, I’m talking about Swisscom Webmail. Various fonts and sizes suddenly appear in my own text as soon as someone answers or forwards the email. And he certainly didn’t change anything in my text.

Unfortunately, I can’t find the setting where I can change the font from Tahoma to Arial. Or where can I set what you mean? Cheers, Curlysue

Thank you, Walter. Yes, I have this option too, but the font still changes when I forward my emails. And the question is, where can I change it from Tahoma to Arial permanently? For me it always jumps back to Tahoma. Best regards, Curlysue

It’s curlysue, but as you wrote… “Program”…. Unfortunately, Webman is NOT a program, but rather a web access, so unfortunately that doesn’t work…

I can no longer change the font in webmail at all. It doesn’t respond at all and the pull-down menu doesn’t open. There is Tahoma in it and cannot be changed.

It seems to me that Bluewin is having difficulties at the moment. Fields for entering recipients also respond very slowly, sometimes not at all…..only after refreshing. Since Outlook mobile cannot currently be used with Bluewin IMAP, I had to use Bluewin webmail. Extremely difficult there 😞
