Hello and happy Easter weekend to all
Indeed too often problems with the TV Guide. And once again Classica: Sende Pause since Sunday April 1st and for the following days… (except Sende Pause which becomes Classica F HD!).
However, on the Classica site everything is obviously normal, no interruption of programs. So maybe Swisscom-Classica communication problems? But in the meantime, we, the paying pigs, can only record manually on Classica from April 1st: really not practical. Very bad prank! Hopefully this TV Guide outage will be fixed quickly.
UPC defector I can tell you that the Swisscom TV guide can be judged as very good… It’s true that there are still improvements to be made, but nothing is perfect!
I found minor oddities: the image which illustrates Télématin on France 2 does not always show the new presenter, but William Leymergie continues to appear depending on the hour slots. I also don’t understand why this show is not “split” into installments on Saturdays while it is the case for the other days of the week.
Not having known the previous version, it is naturally not possible for me to compare… I only do it with what I know. If you have the possibility, could you explain to me what OS2 and OS3 mean (in broad terms of course!). Many thanks in advance.
There is one point that I do not find at all practical, and that is searching for a program using the circle at the top left of the screen. After having seen the different options, selected one and noticed that it did not correspond to your desires, you should be able to return to the text typed for the search (for example Elizabeth II) and not have to retype it each time… I have it reported to Swisscom and hopes that my comment will be taken into account with a view to improvement.
Good evening,
To answer your question (within my limits):
There was swisscomtv2 and in this swisscomtv2, at the moment 3 system versions (let’s say OS1, 2 and 3) each version has had updates which are sent to users.
The OS2 version didn’t suit me badly (apart from a few details) but with the surface area obtained from “Home” (the little house) it was practically possible for me to find things to watch, either live or in replay .
The OS3 version probably came because of the 2 types of TV-Box (HD and UHD).
This version no longer suits me at all, the choices have become very limited and I have to consult newspapers or zap a lot to compose my evening program!
OS3 was distributed around November 2017 (with great difficulty!!!) and we have been on the second update since the end of March. The developers practically ignored the comments sent to the Community. I think I can say that many are disappointed.
The round button on the right is the “Search” function.
I rarely use it because I don’t find it impractical either.
One of the big flaws of the whole thing is the lack of help accessible from the TV.
Especially since there are quite a few tips that you can only find by searching or that you can discover on the community, by also searching, sometimes in French, sometimes in German.
It’s true that there is a lot of good in swisscomTV2 (like in the pig!)… but nothing is carried through to the end and very good things from OS2 seem not to have been included in OS3. For what?
Some seem to say that this is a new team of developers who wants to prove themselves!
Don’t lose courage. Maybe in 1 year or 2 the system will be good before moving to OS4!
Kind regards.
JPF
Thank you for your detailed response. I understand your frustrations. There’s nothing more annoying than having to get used to supposedly “improved” versions only to discover that the functions that were very popular have disappeared.
I also find it frustrating when those responsible do not take into account suggestions for improvements suggested (free of charge) by users…. The same goes for channels that are missing (for example Mezzo HD Live) even though they are available from other suppliers. To date, I have still not received a valid response from Swisscom explaining why this or that channel is not available. We pay for our subscriptions and in my opinion the minimum is to respond clearly to the questions asked.
For channels, I understand your frustration with Mezzo Live HD. Channel negotiations are very complicated between the price that the operator is willing to pay, the exclusivities (for example MTV France for UPC and the OCS for Swisscom)
We will never have exactly the same channels everywhere. That’s a certainty

If you are subscribed to Teleclub Premium, simply go to the OCS GO application on the TV box, the first time you have to choose a nickname and it will work by itself
Via the applications and their site https://go.ocs.fr/ simply choose Swisscom/Teleclub in the operator choices and enter the Swisscom Login and its password.
Hello, I would like to know why the change in TV guide occurs each time, if you press for no more than 2 seconds. The guide suggests to us, watch or record, this annoys me a little because before, we retouched ok and if we wanted to record we validated… I don’t know which engineer found this… but I find that it’s not It’s not practical or useful….even a hassle….e. Swisscom does things more complicated than it should be… unless something else encourages them to do it… but in any case… this TV guide annoys me and I’m not the only one… .
