thanks for the answer, but I would like to know how much speed it loses.
I have the ONE M subscription at 100/Mbit and now with the non-fiber optic socket I have a maximum speed of
60/Mbit.
My problem is that the fiber optic socket will be installed in the living room while my
desktop computer is in another room. So I wonder if it’s worth switching to optical fiber since the only possibility of connecting the computer with the router is with the wlan connection kit
My doubt is that I will have the same speed (since the Wlan connection loses performance)
@haridass Hi
We are a customer like you, I don’t think that a forum participant will give you more in-depth information. I have the old Swisscom Kit, I can’t find any difference between the kit and the cable. On the kit installed opposite the router I have a connections computer Smart Home a camera under test and Swisscom TV, no problem for my subscription speed at 40 Mbits.
Here is the link that you probably know.

Hi
First of all, you will need to check that you are receiving the signal at the socket at 100 Mbit/s before worrying, once you are sure of the speed you can do a test. Then it will depend as indicated on the wifi disturbances at your home, but above all on the speed of the WLAN knowing that the new models go from 1700 Mbit/s I think you have some margin with your subscription.
Good day
@“x”#2189ask Swisscom or the company that will be mandated for the FO
to install the socket for the router near the PC, a FO cable from the entrance of the FO in the home can be pulled (sheathed) to this new socket (you have to insist but it is possible! because the preferential installation at the show is not an obligation)
connect PC by Ethernet cable (stability and quality) and if a TV in another location the WLAN-Connection Kit for the TV-Box (range over a radius of 20m with fairly good quality, theoretical 1GB home network)
if the WLAN of the router is weak in certain areas of the home possibility of using relays
