In its announcement, Swisscom talks about updating Swisscom tv 2.0.

This should concern all boxes! Maybe they start with uhd boxes?

Hello everyone,

Here is the latest news. Two updates will be distributed in the coming weeks, one for TV-Box UHD and one for TV-Box HD. You can find details about them under the heading TV Announcements. The OCS Go application will be automatically available to TV-Box UHD users as soon as update 2.69.12 is released.

Good morning,

And so when the “normal” HD TV-Box have this update, OCS Go will also be available on these HD boxes?

OCS Go will still not be available only for UHD boxes?

Hi @Hache2eaux

Sorry but no, according to the information regarding the upcoming firmware update, only UHD Boxes are affected by the OCS GO application.

A priori no OCS GO on HD TV Boxes (for the moment, to be seen later)

Good morning,

It is an application that allows you to watch OCS channels in a delayed manner since they do not have replay or recording functions.

This even goes a little further than simple Replay since the application gives access to all the seasons of certain series, by which I mean that there is not the same limitation of 7 days that we have with the Swisscom Replay.
So it’s quite an interesting option 😉

No, the application is a separate app.
I think it’s different between HAD and UHD because the firmware is independent between the two boxes

Ah ah how treacherous. Swisscom which simply announced that OCS Go will soon be available, but without ever specifying that it was only for UHD boxes. 😞

Well, I still don’t regret subscribing to TC Premium since TC Sport is free, but I still have a really bad time on this one. Disappointed.

I knew absolutely nothing about Netflix. ^^

When Swisscom announced OCS Go, a little “*” just to warn would have at least had the merit of being honest. Because honestly I subscribed to TC Premium mainly for OCS Go, if I would have known that it was reserved for UHD Boxes I probably would not have subscribed.

But hey, fortunately there is the free TC Sport offer, I’m taking advantage of it and if I don’t yet have a UHD Box by 2018 and the end of the free TC Sport offer I would stop TC Premium at that moment. But in any case I would know how to be wary in the future.

So, I think I’m dreaming but sometimes there isn’t an IOS/Android app planned? That I can at least enjoy OCS Go on my tablet?

I must be slow to react but I still haven’t understood if OCS go will also be available on normal boxes, but simply with a little delay compared to UHD boxes, or if it will not be available at all. ..

If it will not be available, I will request the cancellation of the premium package because the offer did not mention this condition at all, unlike the promotion for Netflix which had the merit of being clear and required possession of a box UHD.

I find it really unfortunate that Swisscom is forcing us to have to buy a UHD box without needing UHD, simply to be able to access apps like Netflix and OCS Go. The latter being part of the teleclub bouquet!!! Not only do you have to pay, but you also continue to pay a montant “rental” in the price since it is included for new customers. We, the elders, cannot benefit from it. You have to explain the logic to me….it should be a standard exchange with the old boxes.

In summary, I don’t need UHD, however I would like to access the OCS Go application by subscribing to teleclub => BUT, Swisscom does not provide the application on old boxes (thank you) and they give me force them to pay for two new boxes (119.– each). In addition, I continue to rent the 2nd….and the first because it is also implicitly rented in the price of the basic subscription…double THANK YOU, keep it up Swisscom.

Good morning,

I don’t think we want to force you to upgrade from hd to uhd which you don’t need.

There are two boxes, an old one that has become obsolete and a new one. Swisscom probably no longer wants to invest in the development of an outdated box and is focusing on the new one.

It’s a bit the same thing for the new mobiles that come out every year. They have new operating systems that are no longer available to older models. The customer must buy a new mobile if he wants to benefit from the latest technologies. This is the case in all areas of electronics.
