Set up bluewin webmail forwarding for specific senders

  • Good day

I would like to forward emails from a specific sender to an external account in my Bluewin WEBMAIL. Something that is possible with every other email provider and has instructions for doing so.

    Thanks for a quick reply

    Kind regards

With Bluewin Email you can only redirect a Bluewin email account in general and not specific senders. Or do you mean from your own email account to a third-party account?

      e.g. abcd@bluewin.ch on cba@gmx.ch.

The content from the relevant email account is always forwarded, regardless of the recipient email address.

This should be possible with Outlook rules.

@hed, yes, that’s true, but I don’t really want it to get to Outlook. The problem is also that as long as the Outlook rule has not yet been activated, I can see the emails on my client in the mobile device… This works with my Outlook.com account, unfortunately not with Bluewin…

    Hello everyone,

Now a year has passed since the question was asked. At the moment we urgently need selective forwarding from *email placeholder* to *email placeholder* and only from certain recipients and not everything or nothing. Because of the Corona crisis, we are currently receiving a lot of emails to our main address, which we have to forward to the children without us having to do anything. You can set this in the mail client (Thunderbird), but you just have to start the client x times a day, which is not the point of it. Of course, you could also store the children’s addresses at school, but it will take a while for this to be set up. So I mean, that should be technically possible without any problems?

Of course that would be possible - just not with Bluewin Webmail.

I’ve said it several times: Bluewin Webmail is and remains an “emergency solution”, but it is sufficient for 98% of 0815 customer needs.

For higher demands, a local mail client should be used or another mail provider with a more complex webmail interface
