Outlook 2016 IMAP constant password request

    • I have the problem that the password entry from the Bluewin account constantly appears on the iMac. I can tick “Save password in keychain”, but it doesn’t help. A few minutes later the password request again. Unfortunately I haven’t found a solution online that works.

    • It’s now done.

      I recreated the account in Outlook with the Bluewin account description. If I change it to Swisscom I have the same problems again.

    It is difficult to combine POP and IMAP, which means that the session is blocked when accessed at the same time, which results in the password being asked again.

    However, Outlook with the POP account is rarely switched on. The password request is only on the imac. iPhone no problem. There is also no problem with the gmail account on the Mac, although I also set up a POP there on the Win computer.

    Unfortunately, with the Mail program on the Mac, the problem does not only exist with Outlook 2016.
