Wireless connection Swisscom TV

  • Good morning

    I don’t understand how I could configure the Swisscom TV box to the router via wifi because the two are not in the same room and therefore I cannot leave the ethernet cable plugged in.

    Thank you for your help

    Hi @Dede76

    to connect it directly to wireless, you must use the WPS function, however this function is not approved by Swisscom because the risk of signal loss is too high!

    on the other hand, you can equip yourself with a [wireless connection kit](https://www.swisscom.ch/fr/clients-prives/aide/peripheriques/reseau-a-domicile/wlan-connection-adapter. html) or a kit Powerline.

    You can order them from the Hotline or via the site directly.

    In any case, you have a 14-day right of return if you are not satisfied! 🙂

    Good morning

    Personally I don’t know why the direct WiFi connection (without any additional connection kit) is not approved, because in our house from one room to another with a concrete wall works well despite a signal of 2 out of 5.

    @Doremi yes I agree with you! however, at home I’m on ⅘ and my TV always freezes, even though it’s in the same room!

    it all depends on your environment… if you have 2 or 200 wifi networks in your neighborhood which would disrupt your signal 🙂

    @Hellite Hello

    Yes, surprising because I have a distance of 7m50 with concrete separation and 6 people with 5 GHz Wi-Fi in my environment. The box Freezes for 4 to 5 seconds when I change channels.

    actually, not compatible with the Centro Grande because it does not have 5Ghz wifi… you absolutely need the internet box Plus, Standard or internet box 2.
