Reasoning logically about the symptoms you describe, the culprit is the switch…

If you have the Netgear GS105, it doesn’t do the job. You need the GS105E or the GS105PE which prioritizes the traffic (QoS).

I have a GS305PE with the same configuration (Netgear WiFi router instead of the Apple terminal) and it works as desired.

hello again,

I looked. the switch model is the Netgear Gigabit Switch GS 105.

According to the manual QoS is supported (“QoS for traffic prioritization via DSCP support”).

Either it is poorly “configured” (but to my knowledge, apart from connecting the cables, there is nothing to do) or the problem comes from elsewhere.

I did the tests:
Swisscom TV off: 29.21 in download, 7.13 in upload and ping at 19
with a replay: 6.61 in download, 6.01 in upload and ping at 61
with Swisscom TV live “latency test failure” (it can’t even complete the test)

Le QoS… Sorry

thanks for the response. I ordered a new switch and will test this solution first. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have a second cable installed so I can plug the box directly into the router.

Good morning,
your diagnosis was correct. By installing the Netgear GS105E, I found a completely correct speed for WiFi. As I said, I have 28-29mega without TV and now around 18mega on wifi when the TV is live (which corresponds to the 10mega of the TV signal)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP
