Centro Grande router loses connection

Hello everyone

I watch Swisscom TV via cable via the Centro Grande router and access the Internet via WLAN with my laptop and smartphone. Everything worked smoothly.

I’ve had a new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 for a few days now. As soon as I try to access the Internet via WLAN with this Surface, the entire router crashes. Swisscom TV and WLAN abort. If I disconnect the connection to the Surface and restart the router, everything works again.

Do you know what that could be?

Greeting

Rolf

- What does “the router crashes” mean?

- How is the TV-Box connected to the router?

- Does it work if you connect the Surface directly to the router via an Ethernet cable?

- Just to be sure, you have a Centro Grande and not an Internet box?

Have you found a solution - I have had the same problem since October/November. I found one work around for a while by disabling the power management options on the surface - but that no longer works. I am considering replacing the router - it seems to be linked specifically to the router-surface combination. I have used the surface in other places with different routers without any problems, and other devices work fine on the centro grande.

Centro Grande is not fit for the future. With the Internetbox 2, the problem was solved for us. At a cost of 99CHF.
