It appears to take a very, very, long time to upload; Only a few hundred pictures were done overnight! Furthermore the numbers given in the lower left corner of the Mac application sometimes increase. What's going on?
So, just for fun, I shutdown my computer and started it again. After restart, myCloud started to countdown the remaining pictures at about 0.2/s which my imply a transfer rate of 400KB/s.
