Swisscom TV freezing

Hello - I have a second TV 2.0 box set up in my bedroom and have noticed that it doesn’t seem to be connecting properly.

First noticed it when listening to a radio station - it would suddenly just stop. Now tonight I wanted to watch something on ITV and the picture has now been blocked for 15 minutes.

It is connected wirelessly - is that what is causing the issue?

The wireless connection could be the reason. Do you use a direct connection between the TV box and the router or do you have a connection kit? Do you have the TV 2.0 box or the new UHD-box?

Thank you for your response.

I have the TV 2.0 box and it is linked to the router via Wifi only - no connection kit of any kind as I was told it wasn’t necessary. I am guessing this might be the problemand it blocks when the Wifi is being used elsewhere at the same time.

Would a powerline connection kit solve this or do I need something else?

The wireless connection without a connection kit can work but there are many external influences which could disturb the signal. The best option remains a LAN cable. You can try with a connection kit too. You can buy it and try. If it doesn’t work you can return it within 14 days: Home networking.
