Curious, we need to see if Sunrise and cablecom will have the same problems due to the lack of Italian license rights, then we’ll talk about it again….

Sunrise TV has very little for Italian… it is not interesting for Italian speaking audiences.

The cable competitor is more interesting.

The topic of “copyrights” has been the official reason for years. So you have to take into account my suggestion to be careful in the future to grab them…

Well one less Sunrise and cablecom instead?

If we were to put them in order by number of channels in Italian:

In first place CABLECOM,

then Swisscom TV

then Ticino.com

and in last place Sunrise TV (it has very few), just take a look at the site.

Show original language (Italian)

sunrise 26 channels in Italian

ticinocom about 50 channels in Italian (but not high quality), basically the same as swisscom, but without those of the documentaries that Swisscom has.

Calbecom instead has, in addition to all those that are from Swisscom, the others that are requested here…

In terms of numbers we are therefore in second place. We used to be in first place.

It is clear that the operator (in this case Swisscom) must pay to allow us to have certain channels.

The thing that makes me/us angry is that for German and French and even English and/or other language channels, Swisscom doesn’t seem to have these problems. Many channels have been added in recent years, all not in Italian of course.

The trite point is this; It’s also funny to hear that the people of Ticino are important customers: luckily, imagine if we hadn’t been.

The proof is Mediaset channel 20: as others in Italy have said, it is “free”, let’s see how long it takes to get it.

We should go through the list and make a precise table…

I definitely remember from memory

HISTORY CHANNEL

FOCUS
THE NINE IN HD

Paramount Channel~ (also from Swisscom for a week now)
7 Gold
Cartoon Network

At least these are certainly available from Cablecom in Italian, but they also have others that I can’t remember now.

it’s a question of budget, for them it is significantly higher… it’s logical.

It is nothing new also because not only the swisscom problem but also the famous PlayStation video games do not always publish in Italian except other languages as usual. Xbox also automatically puts me in German because I’m in Switzerland and I can’t even choose Italian. So many problems for that damn rights and license and I’ve been quite broke lately. Luckily, at least I can understand English, but if only German remains, I already swear quite a bit.

The same thing also happens with movie rentals on Apple TV, if you compare Italian with other national languages it’s an abyss.

However, Apple TV in Italy is something else.

All you have to do is take a German course…

Very funny considering Ticino is Italian Switzerland…. Then I never learn German I have always hated it and it is very difficult for me. Then I was born deaf, let alone if I will ever be able to understand by voice, you do the math…

Show original language (Italian)

One would expect from a company like Swisscom that the three most spoken languages in Switzerland would be put on the same level… that’s all (it’s about time, we hear a lot of talk about valorising Italian in Switzerland etc…. but overall the facts are equal to zero, indeed if possible even less than zero)

There are also many Ticino people in German and French Switzerland, not just in Ticino.

And I repeat, we pay the same as German and French users, but to get less.

First of all, thanks for the reply, but I’m sorry to see you only intervene when we customers make “noise”. I would just like to say this, say that we care about you, that you try to fulfill our wishes, but the facts don’t seem to confirm your words, and as far as I’m concerned the facts are what count. Beautiful words are carried away by the wind. Our wishes have been expressed in this forum as far back as 2010 (8 years ago). It makes me laugh to think that in such a long time you have not managed to conclude any agreement with Sky Italia, which tries to grab customers every day. And in the world you can get everything with money! Evidently you do not consider it necessary to invest in this service. Don’t tell us that Sky Italia won’t sell you the rights, that for money they would even sell you their soul. Then another thing here we are not just talking about TV channels, but about your system. The TV box has an app section, of which 90‰ are reserved for German, French and even Spanish audiences. So don’t tell us these fairy tales. Because it is a mockery of your Ticino and Italian customers who pay the same as the Germans and French who have double our services. So if you have difficulty getting TV rights etc etc let us pay less! Or do you also have problems reducing our invoices? OK, but when we call your technicians for problems with your lines and we pay them handsomely, are you okay with that? We are happy there like Ticinese and Italians! Enough teasing!

Amen! Everything right and everything perfect.
