Internet Box Plus no connection to the Internet

  • The Internet Box Plus has been going crazy for some time now.

    Today’s highlight:

It is connected to Swisscom, but not to the Internet.

    Same after restart.

The attempt to please them with a reset failed. She doesn’t respond to that.

Of course the TV doesn’t work either.

    Who knows advice?

Once everything has been installed correctly and the Internet box worked, you need to contact the hotline 0800 800 800.

If you enter the Internet-Box menu on your PC using the Internet browser 192.168.1.1, you can find your name: admin and password in Kundencenter, you just have to see how you get to Kundencenter.

Addendum: what exactly do you mean it is connected to Swisscom, but not to the Internet, could it be that you have to log in again and now only the Swisscom page appears?

Open the page https://www.bluewin.ch/de/index.html in your Internet browser and fill in all the required fields step by step out of.

I had this happen 4 times today on Internet Plus. So I rang the hotline and we were able to see the problem but couldn’t solve it.

The Internet is suddenly gone, since I connected all my other devices to the IP-Plus to the LAN sockets, I wanted to at least see if I could ping my other devices internally. This does NOT work on all LAN ports of the IP-Plus. I can’t get into the IP-Plus login menu either.

Just at the moment when I was on the phone with the technician, there was no internet/TV etc. Pinging in the internal network, impossible to get to the IP-Plus menu, impossible.

But now comes the best part, the technician checks my line, it’s ok, then he tells me that my IP-Plus has an Internet connection and that he can also access my box and also see an overview of all my devices and all my line values be good!

That should indicate that the LAN ports are saying goodbye at the back.

I’ve had the latest firmware on it since Sunday, apparently pushed over from Swisscom.

I have now seen that a BETA 7.50xxx is available for the router and a 7.50xxx for the AP part. I’ve now downloaded it and will continue to look. Otherwise, the hotline employee opened a ticket.

In my opinion, this behavior of the box is the same as LAWRENCE wrote, because if you just leave the box like that without switching it off or restarting it, I have all internet connections again after about 8-10 minutes.

Maybe a bug in the new IP-Plus boxes?

The behavior of your Internet-Box Plus is not general, it’s strange that the support has seen your connected devices and you can’t get into the IB+ menu. Do you still have any switches or LAN distributors between the IB+ and your PC?

Have you tried accessing your IB+ menu via WiFi?

I have the exact same problem. For some time now, about 2-3 weeks, no internet or TV, probably two to three times an hour. Absolutely annoying. Sometimes the connection comes back on itself and sometimes I have to restart the router.

Nothing has worked since yesterday, despite restarting the box.

I didn’t have the nerve to call yet.

It would be good if it worked before and now there are suddenly problems to contact support so that they can investigate it further.

It is important that there is a LAN connection and not WLAN or DLAN, which can cause problems.

    Hello everyone

Can you all answer the following questions for me:

    Which router?

How long have you been in business?

    Which firmware?

    Which zip code?

    Copper or fiber optic connection?

We are in the process of updating some network components to new software versions. This is always tested until it drops, but you never know what will actually happen in live operation.

I may then contact you to obtain more personal information. Please do not post telephone numbers, DSL connection numbers, etc. openly here in the forum. Thanks.

    Guido

I have the Swisscom Internet-Box Plus.

I have been using the Internetbox-Plus since Sunday. I bought this box in the Swisscom shop in Wädenswil last week, I previously had the Pirelli Centro Grande and no problem.

The firmware suddenly changed to 07.10.06/07.01.08/893 on Sunday evening

    My zip code is 8756

    Anschluss is copper

I saw yesterday that there was a beta firmware 07.50.29/07.50.32 and loaded it. So far I haven’t had any more failures, but the test period is of course far too short to say anything about it. I’ll see it tonight when I watch some TV…

I wanted to replace the CentroGrande because I have everything in the internal network on Gigabit and the Internet Box Plus’s rear connections are also on Gigabit LAN.

Otherwise, everything is installed on LAN, all WLAN is switched off and only switches on when needed.

I was unable to test whether a connection to the IP-Box Plus would have been possible in the event of an error due to the lack of a suitable device.

I hope things are better with the beta firmware.

I think that the hotline employee documented everything tonight, because at that very moment I had another failure (still with the firmware from Sunday) and this employee gave me all the details of my Internet Box Plus and Internet Connection confirmed, although I probably no longer received a signal via the LAN ports and access with PING or the IP-Plus menu was also not possible. Since I switched all connections to my network internally via the IP-Plus Box, I was no longer able to send PINGs internally. I’ve now changed that, I’ve only connected a connection from the Swisscom socket (RJ45 network socket) to the Internet box on LAN1 to a Zyxel 8Port GigaSwitch and connected all of my internal network connections to this Zyxel switch, so at least I have something in the event of a failure The IP-Plus Box is still internally connected to my devices.

    Thanks for the attention.

If you click on the link below you will see the different routers and each router has installation instructions and then you can see whether you have copper or fiber optic instead of the pictures.

@kundani You are a lucky and unlucky person at the same time. Your Anschluss was automatically corrected upwards by the speed. Unfortunately it then turned out that there is a Bridge tab in your installation. You would have been revised downwards again in a few days to make the line stable again. We have now preferred this manually. You should be contacted so that the Bridge Tab can be removed and then you will get more speed. If you don’t hear anything within two weeks, contact me via PM.
