If H+ is displayed, you are connected to the 3G network.

Depending on the mobile phone operating system, “3G” will also be displayed in the status bar for an H or H+ connection, as both belong to the third generation (3G) mobile communications standard.

My Sony device (Android operating system) displays:
- G: “slowest” connection - GPRS - max. transmission capacity 53.6 kbit/s (2G standard)
- E: EDGE, about 4 times faster than G but still in 2G standard
- 3G: also called “UMTS”, 384 kbit/s
- H: HSDPA, also 3G standard, but faster than the “original” 3G (7.2 Mbit/s)
- H+: HSPA+, still 3G, but even faster (14.4 Mbit/s)
- LTE: Called 4G on Android, speed up to 100 Mbit/s

In short: No matter whether “3G” or “H+” is displayed, you are in the 3G network. The fact that the Internet doesn’t work shouldn’t actually be due to what is displayed - it should also work with “E” (just slow). I therefore suspect a configuration problem if you have activated mobile data but still cannot access the Internet. Have you ever had Swisscom send you the current internet configuration?
