Netflix not working

Watching the whole afternoon suddenly Netflix dies. Talked to Netflix support. They mentioned that more customers of the Swisscom Internet service complained today.

Anyone else having this problem? Any solution? Does it makes sense calling Swisscom?

Router restart didn't help at all

We have been having the same problem for the last couple days. Reset everything, router, apple tv. Everything else is working fine, just netflix but netflix also says everything is working fine on their end. And people using cablecom seem to have no issue. Really sucks! Now it won't even work on the ipad. Not sure if Swisscom is controlling the streaming with this or not..

Same problem here. Netflix has stopped working on all devices: TV, iPad and iPhone. The following error message appears after about 5 mins: "A problem occured while playing this item. Go to www.netflix.com/support for more information. (139:NFErr_MC_AuthFailure)".

Followed all advice on the Netflix support pages (restart, logout/login, etc) without success.

Talked to Swisscom yesterday evening. The guy on the phone said I am the second customer already but he has no solution. According to him it's escalated to technical support. But that's about it I got from Swisscom.

It works over 4g on iPhone though. Means this is only related to the internet connection.
It would be pretty embarrassing if Swisscom controls the streaming content.

Keeping fingers crossed they come up with a solution soon.

Still can't get the apple tv or ipad to work but it's working on my none apple devices for now. I was starting to think maybe an apple problem. Hope it gets resolved soon! I was on another forum about it and there were many more people with this issue!

neither Swisscom nor Netflix have directly conacted their customers on this, but there si a lot in the news, on forums and in twitter about it. and now its the #1 most popular topci here in this forum. yay. and both seem to be blaming the other. perhaps there was some brinksmanship going on.

I suggest you contact Swisscom directly to get a discount on your internet for next month. I have just contacted netflix and they are offering me a discount for next month. Swisscom next stop...

Well if they gave you a discount that means they're surely have something to forgive... i'm sure Swisscom will do the same if also involved but until now, no proof, no chocolate 🙂
